MSP did it right with that monorail. If you're at 2 and your connecting flight is at 102, the thing just whisks you over there. I guess I'll see what the latest is at SLC next month.

DFW has become my favorite due to the monorail. So easy.

What's the best place to eat after Beecher's? Why is it so damn crowded? It feels like it's at 105% capacity every time I'm there

I think Laguardia was mentioned upthread. I once spent 3 hours picking up a rental car there.

Used to think LGA was worth it for cheaper direct flights even if I was driving elsewhere, but now I will fly to Albany or BTV or whatever, because the time and money lost to making a connection to the smaller airport is made up by the time saved being anywhere but LGA and the rental cars are usually much cheaper.

Evergreens, Floret. Machu Wok is probably the worst food you can eat in 500 miles….

If you don’t fly Alaska and are not in terminal C or N - it’s a fucking ghost town…

Just had that at LAX recently. Huge lines, everyone with reservations told 3hr wait for a car. People sleeping on the floor. Yelling at helpless customer service people. Right after dealing with airport travel hell to get to rental car Hell.

The salmon and chips from their quick service counter was about a dollar more than Ivars and imho was far better. Agreed the sit down service was stupidly expensive, but the quick counter was equally as overpriced as everything else was in the main lobby, and an order of magnitude better. God help you if you're looking for food on the south side of that airport.

All those generic “restaurants” in the south half of the airport get their food from the same bank of microwaves in the bagwell.

Next time you fly into BTV to drive six hours to visit your peeps in Manhattan, let me know and we'll grab a cup of coffee.

    will do.

but the way you describe it won't ever happen. the trips to visit my peeps in Manhattan are the only time I will absolutely fly into LGA/EWR (and I wouldn't be renting a car).

Your initial post seemed ambiguous on that point, councilor. Offer still stands. Granted, there are other TRGzers in BTV who are probably more funner to meet than I am.

    Ehh, you're pretty entertaining

The new LGA is a good airport. I have no idea what it's like dealing with rental cars there but the parking is easy access for each terminal, it's not cheap though. The terminals are big and there's a lot of walking. The food choices are good.
