That's how I was able to move to Tahoe when I was a young buck.

Living at the beach in Nags Head NC. Woman spun off the rain slicked road and hit the front of my Suburban. Totaled her car. Mine had some front left damage, but the headlight still worked and you could still open and close the hood.

Total bill...$3500!!

I was out to Tahoe within 2 weeks.
