    ATTN ALL PHOTOGRAPHER TYPES

Have any of you guys ever used on online printing lab and recieved professional quality prints? I need to have about 25-30 12x18 inch prints made and my local lab is charging about $13 a print (which I know is a pretty good deal, but I'm a poor college student and still have to frame everything as well). I've been looking into Mpix.com and they are a little cheaper but I was hoping one of yous guys had a good/inexpensive place that I might look. Thanks

Do you have a Costco around? If so, look into using them. I've only used them for smaller prints, but I've heard good things from some pretty serious photog types. I know you can use custom printer profiles, too, to ensure the printed photo will look how it does on your computer monitor.

MBS works in a lab that does Wet Prints from Digi Files. PM him to see if he can hook you up.

Costco... asking for scratched negs? They aren't as bad as Wally World... but still don't know RA4 from the hole inbetween their buns.

I've heard good things about these people:
    www.aandi.com

Looks like they can do 25-30 11x14 digital->RA4 lightjet prints for about $9.50/ea. $15/ea for their ultraHQ version.

Looks like they can also 10x15 (good aspect) digital->RA4 Frontier proof prints (probably what your local lab does) for $3.35/print, $4.50/print C41/E6.

Where did you find a place that has 12x18 paper?

Well, if the source is digital this isn't much of a concern.

Noritsu machines have a 12x18 paper option. The lab I've run into claimed that the Noritsu was an evolutionary step a little above the Fuji Frontier (as you might expect when they are trying to sell you something). I don't know if that is true, but the results are good in the right hands.
