Video stoke from the CO Crew from last year

I put this stuff in another thread, but most of y'all won't read it, and I put a lot of time into this post, so it gets its own thread. If anything, it will dump a taco filled post off the first page. If you're a jong, I'd definitely check these vids out....most long time maggots have seen them, but it beats another lame flame war....right?

Here's the one from Berthoud last spring. LATE in the year in Colorado. Yes, we like it here.

Here is my favorite video to date. Cantdog(yellow coat) comes out from the east last year, we show him how much Colorado sucks, and to thank us he sends an avalanche into iskibc and I. Freshies247 provides the commentary.

The CO Crew had an awesome day in East Vail, it was fucking nuking that day...I came home and edited some of the fottie real quick like. I'm still sitting on this footie waiting for a rainy day....

    So now the Crystal video.
Lots of talk about skiing this mountain the year before, but it never happened. We tried, but it just didn't work out. Later, I'll post the TGR thread about the first experience.
Marshal, and Brent (LoneStar) and I finally made it happen the next year. It was in white out conditions at the top, but we got it done. I edited the video in an artsy type fashion. This way, those involved know how it went down, and viewers of the video don't quite get it. Sorry, it was our effort that got us there. The skiing portions of the video were taken at the bottom due to NO visibility at the top.

Now there's the Vail Pass booter session video.
Shera throws her first front flip on snow, and it's big. She comes up a little short, then tries it again. Throws another big front flip and sticks it her second try....yeah, that's my girl.

    Summit gets his fronts dialed.

Elesquiador learns backs and gets his 3rd try.

I just started setting junk to see what would happen.....it was fun and my helmet fell off.

Good stoke, the avy seggy/vid captures the feeling of when good times almost go really bad.

    Nice work, but-

    1. Use a tripod more (almost always)
    2. NEVER, EVER use digital zoom
    3. digitally slowed down video footage usually looks like shit. If you shoot video, concentrate on capturing speed.

Wow, dude. Comparing what you were doing there to what you have done up in Steamboat - you are in for one hell of a year. Way to step it up and progress your skiing.

    Nice work.
One question: If you know something is gonna go, why stand directly below it?

Avy clip was sweet. Complete with performance from the legend, Scotty Hall. Too Funny.

My fav is Berthoud. I was there those days with a buddy and I saw all you guys hauling up video equipment, then all raging down together while one of you filmed. I was like, "I hope I get to see that footy." When I heard that it was posted here, I created a user name (Darksider, at the time) and started checking this place out.

Such a great late season gift - some of the nicest turns of the season. I chucked the Knuckle on May 1st into a double heel release (set at 12), and flatland front-flip - usually hurts when you do that in May. Watching that vid brings me back to a sick two days of my life.

when someone talks endless amounts of shit about how rad they are and then posts avg at best footage, they are going to get abused. like it.

FKNA! He's nailing all kinds of shit now.

I got a sweet taste of inversion that day.

So many cool things happened last year. Skied backcountry all winter and managed not to die. Spent some time sliding rails - got footie of that too. Hucked freaking larger than I ever imagined I could. Smoothed out my all my skiing a lot. Got myself hiking faster.

I wonder what this year will bring.

Ski beaver sent me a pm asking for the videos I put together last year.
I created a thread for him, and any others who hadn't seen them.
People who hadn't seen them enjoyed them.
Truth and powder 11 had to talk smack. Most of the videos were my friends having fun, skiing powder. It wasn't the "blurred promotional video"...and if it was I don't think I'd include me setting junk and having my helmet fall off.

So what has truth and powder 11 contributed lately besides complaining and whining? In fact, what has powder 11 contributed EVER?

[begin very rare rant]Since when do we have to post professional quality footage on here? Quit being a fuckin' critic and post something worth checking out yourself. People like you piss me off, and there's not many who do. The guy spent some time putting these short movies together for the rest of us to enjoy. In no way was he trying to stroke his own cock.[end rant].

I think a careful reading of the thread might do you some good.
