    I need new pants, cheap

I'm looking to buy a new pair of ski pants and I have no idea what to look for. Something with a loose cut for layering and waterproof for sure. I'm not really up to speed on what constitutes good waterproofness.

And of course I want them to be as cheap as possible. As much as I'd like to buy a nice pair of Cloudveils or Arteryx, it just isn't going to happen on this years budget.

    How about these?

if you can find any NorthFace Hyvent pants on sale or from years past, they are awesome.

they've got side vents, nice pockets, powder cuffs, and sealed seams.

Other than that, check out places like costco. I got a pair of decent ski pants there for <$100 and they've been good to me.

I think those MEC Gravitates might be the winners.

For the record I'm skinner than pHunk, so size xxxxl does not apply.
