    181 J Skis Masterblasters

    SOLD

These are the older (96mm waist) construction. Blister's review here: https://blisterreview.com/gear-revie...-masterblaster

Skis are in amazing shape - 9.5/10. Edges are perfect (freshly tuned - 1 base, 2 side), bases and topsheets are very clean but have a few small signs of use. Freshly waxed and scraped/brushed.

Open mount is at rec, for wardens, for a 25.5 boot (I believe a 298 BSL).

Really fantastic ski, but I've been liking my mindbender 99s in this slot just a bit more and wanted to move these bindings to another ski, so here we are.

Looking for $250+ship, or meet up near Portland, ME. Venmo or Paypal friends and fam only - no goods and services.

(sorry as always for sideways pics)

How suitable are these for an intermediate/advanced Type II sort of skier? Asking for a friend of course, Type IV here.

I think they are perfect for that use case.

I got these as I was starting to move from intermediate to more advanced, and they were fantastic - easy to noodle around on and won’t punish you if you get lazy or your firm isnt good, but also have a really solid backbone as you get moving faster and harder. They’re also great off piste, assuming snow isn’t too deep.

They’ve been my reference ski in this waist width since then, and have only been (just) edged out by 184 Mindbender 99s which grip a little better in firm, and have some more energy on groomers. I’ve also been digging my 183 hotshots this season so they can scratch my itch for J skis.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will run these by him and see what he thinks. Will let you know either way but obviously no expectations they will still be around.
