Decent article from ESPN of all people on who's currently getting screwed for the 12th playoff spot.

    (hint: it's not Alabama)

    https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...x-week-15-2024

Personally, if they're going to ignore simple overall record (i.e., Miami), then I have to think that Ole Miss has the best argument to take that last spot.

Baker on sore losers who can't handle flag planting:

"OU-Texas does it every time they play.” Mayfield said Sunday. “It’s not anything special. You take your L, and you move on.”

As the article says, he's right, and only sore losers will disagree.

Can't see that dude dealing with the fragile egos of 18-22 year old players or wanting to close recruits in their living rooms..

I thought UNC had Browns legendary head coach Freddie Kitchens lined up? No?

Since I don't follow it as much anymore can y'all explain to me how the NCAA/CFB powers that be can fuck up all the history & rivalries of the past ( sorry Texas and OK shouldn't be in the SEC , I could go on) and still not get the championship right? It literally the worst of both worlds...

I am OK with Bama being in. IMO, they have the highest ceiling of any team in the playoff... they just also have the highest odds of playing to their basement. If they play their A game, i think they beat everyone else's A game. But there is only a small chance they bring their A game, and BIG chance the bring their C or lower game. I like a wildly inconsistent loose cannon wildcard team like that. Each quarter is a box of chocolates.

Miami should get in, and if SMU loses it should get bounced. i also dont like Tennesee.

IMO, at the end of the day, if you are fighting for the 12/11/10 spots, you fucked your season up and have no room to whine. Just thank your lucky stars this isnt the 4 team playoff or BCS of years past where teams with legitimate claims to having had the best season got screwed out of playing for a national championship.

Jeanty is 138 yards short of Barry Sanders record and Boise State had its goal post ripped down and thrown in the river behind the stadium last night.

Everyone east of the Rockies has been blasting the PAC [emoji637][emoji638] for the last decade. [emoji637]st year of the fox/espn mega conferences and [emoji638] of the [emoji640] champs are pac[emoji637][emoji638] teams. One which was picked to finish last by the majority of talking head blow dried hair d bags. Tonight should’ve been a rose bowl game to get into a [emoji640] team playoff. To go from witnessing the toilet bowl as a kid to seeing the Ducks be a major contender is insane to me. Bring on the Natty! This team is looking good

Agree re former pac 12 teams - incl CU and still-pac 12 WSU having strong seasons. Also look at last springs nfl draft, super pac 12 heavy.

The PAC 12 consistently had 4 to 5 members in the top 25 ranked teams. It was easily the most competitive conference in football

    I can see a 7-8 seed final, or a 1-2 seed final.

I think they got it right

I believe the B1G ( Big10 ) with four teams in the top twelve would contest this.
    ( it looks like the quarter- and semi- finals set up for some interesting games ;
I am not sure I agree with 'College Football' going until late January. )

    enjoy the playoffs. !
