Doug Scott is a friend of ours (Friends of Berthoud Pass) and we always try to have a few of his maps on hand for sale to members. Good guy and great product. Definitely gets a Good Pinner Seal of Approval.
cool - Pinner, have you used any of these maps much? I have never run accross maps like this before - is the idea just that you have a better idea of the general (historical) risks of the area you are in and you know better where to dig your pits? I want to get his 3 Anchorage area maps I think...
Yep, that's definitely part of it.
Any idea if there are valdez area maps available?
PM Avmapper, that is Doug's board name here. He comes here only occasionally, I am trying to work on a project with him with our handheld equipment.Originally Posted by yesIsaidyes
You can also contact Doug at ddscott at avalanchemapping.org.
Email is your better option. If you have trouble getting ahold of him, pm me and I have his phone number.
