Snowmass had a little shower last night. Trails and weather were really nice this morning.

Fukt: a very small amount of snow.
The old timer and the young pup on Mountain View early.
Then just the youngster on French Press.
Finishing on Anaerobic Nightmare.
Super nice stretch of weather.
Lovely colors, thanks for sharing.

A lot of the higher stands have lost a lot of their leaves the last several days.
Things will slightly cool off moving forward to something more seasonable... biking is pretty prime. I think I bent my rear rim though on Sunday.

All the Coney Glades lift towers and carriages are ready to be lifted Monday. Access to some trails on western Snowmass will be limited.
Anyone have a lead on housing, for a cute ski instructor from Breckenridge?
She's a solid six, probably a Breck nine.
Pretty amazing how quickly they put the lift in place.
I assume everyone coming from the mall, mid-load and Adam’s avenue will just look at both lift lines and pick the shorter one.
Will be interesting watching the carnage as people try to get across.

Hey, anyone have info on Arbaney-Kittle Trail? Was looking at it for eMTB.
Looks like a good point-to-point with a finish in Basalt. Can you get to the start by riding a bike up the road, or do some people drive to the start? Need 4WD?
^^^This is not something you want to try without someone who knows the way. There is a tough trail split by Triangle Peak. It is also super overgrown and rough. Not really an enjoyable ride.
1. The road you speaketh of is brutal on anything 2 wheels. We do see vehicles up there, but mostly just lifted jeeps, RZR, and atvs (hunters). Get ready for some colorado pinstripes if you decide to bring a 4 runner or larger up it. yes to 4x4.
2. The arbaney split isn't the easiest to find your first time up there. You'll pass an awesome hunting camp that overlooks the airport on your right, then the arbaney split isn't too far after on your left. Old wooden sign marks the trail.
3. near the top of arbaney there is a really skinny section on that ridgeline. Easy to hike a bike, but potentially gnarly depending on your skill set with a heavier ebike. Fall left and you are in the roaring fork drainage. Fall right and you are in the fryingpan drainage. Overgrown and rough is a good description like skiddeppow says.
It's doable but definitely a big day. There is no creek or water anywhere on this stretch fyi.
We're going to be in Glenwood/Cdale for the high school State champ this weekend. Looks like Snowmass got a couple of inches last night. Do you think Rim Trail will be rideable on Saturday afternoon? Or, better to stick to lower elevation Prince Creek trails?
Rim was fine this morning.
I'll post conditions tomorrow around 8am.
Thanks, much appreciated!
I'm heading out as soon as it's light.
This storm pretty much missed us and I'm sure all the trails are good to go.
Rim has better views, but the bike park trails are in better shape.
Have a good ride wherever!
Awesome...thank you!
