nice little situation there in the bolton pic....
^^ yes, BYOL/full moon assisted night skiing
and nice score VT-free. hope the electricity is flowing again!
It was great to get back up here.
Sounds like Hickory is going to offer single day tickets which I don't think they have done since they rebooted. https://skihickory.com/blogs/news/hickory-crossroads
good to hear...crazy that they're offering night skiing though.
that mountain can be punishing enough in full daylight.
a bunch of folks on the board met up the one time i was there; we broke for a late lunch by the fire, and not one of us went back out for more. those surface lifts mean quad burn upon quad burn...to say nothing of those deep dips on the upper lift.
can't wait to get back there so hope they can sell enough season passes to cover their insurance costs.
the night skiing is probably just the bunny slope at the bottom i doubt anyone here has ever skied.
great for local kids to learn on, have a park, etc.

I'm rooting for Hickory as much as anybody but we gotta be realistic...the base is something like 680 feet above sea level and it's not very far north. Like someone else posted, it snows there once per decade. Without significant snowmaking (like Willard and West have) I don't see how this is sustainable. Both of those are a better option for kids in that area.
Little spam here-I want to avoid shipping any of these skis.
For BTV area mags, I have a few pairs of skis I’m looking to sell/give away, but I can’t ship them anytime soon. $125 obo for any and all!

Incredible day at the Bush yesterday. We managed to get over to Castlerock just as patrol dropped the rope.

Day 5 at Stratton today.
Best conditions I've skied so far this season.
Once again, Stratton surprises by opening a natural snow trail (Snow Bowl Liftline). After hitting rocks on that trail with CharlesJ last year when they dropped the ropes, I was able to go 2 laps without hitting anything. Goniff put up some video evidence on YouTube
