    Gone til November

Top destination if you could pick any location to ride in North America during the month of November 2023? Asking for a friend…

Assuming decent weather.... North Shore Vancouver and Squamish.

Expecting decent weather.... probably a road trip between Tucson, Phoenix, Sedona and St. George.

Cedar City (if still dry), St. George, Las Vegas, Kingman, Flagstaff (unless snow hits), Sedona, Prescott and Phoenix.

Loop back around through Page (the slick rock free riding at Red Mesa is insane) and then maybe hit Kanab (Tilted Mesa) and then East Zion if you like machine built trail stuff (and again if still dry).

November can still be plenty warm in yay area (especially during hot devil wind fire cycles), so Santa Cruz makes a lot of sense. But November can also be rained out sometimes, so you have to know it’s gonna be ridge pattern and be flexible if you go there, or at least have time to wait things out and do other stuff for a few days while a system blows through and trails drain out.

I also love me some Southern U, I’ve had not great November weather but have had enjoyable November days down there. Sandstone mesas dry out pretty fast so rain is less of an issue than NorCal.

My vote might be AZ as well, just when the rest of the country is getting cold, AZ is getting pretty nice, and I’ve always wanted to ride around Sedona, Tucson, etc!

AZ, SW UT are good Nov destinations. Socal is another good one.

Nov is about my favorite time to ride here aside from short days. Santa Barbara, San Gabriela, Santa anas all have great riding and great weather is usually reliable.

I'm heading to Vegas on Friday.

I've got a day in Vegas, a stop in Kingman and a week in Sedona/Prescott ahead of me.

I'm taking a day off to hike the grand canyon, the Prescott Circle Trail for a day and rides around Sedona the rest of the time.

The weather looks like it's going to be as good as I could hope for.

A southeast tour would be pretty dope… Knoxville, Windrock, Chattanooga, Pisgah/Asheville/Brevard, Dupont. Probably hit Betonville and Eureka Springs on the way there or the way back.

There’s enough riding in Oaxaca to spend a month for sure. And it’s ridiculously good.

Do you like tech riding? If so definitely hit the White Cliffs System there. You can park right in downtown as a trailhead. I usually leave from the bike shop and pedal over to the Wagon Wheels trailhead. I don't suggest going up the downtown connector trail, it's steep and the turns are tight. It's fun to return that way though. Make sure to check out all of the option lines and follow the directional suggestions on Trailforks. All of the blacks trails are directional. Black Bridge Brewery and The Spokesman bike shop is the post ride hang spot.

What day do you think you'll be there? I can head over if you'd like a guide. I plan on riding there at least once over the next couple of days.

You're talking Kingman, right? We might come through that way just after Thanksgiving, weather dependent.

Nice! Well if you like really tech riding stuff I'll show you and yours around. If you don't love tech the Monolith Gardens stuff is really nice. Black Bridge, again is the post ride spot to hang out and the pizza right across the street is really good too.
