I know I'm convinced by having more or less the exact same (boring) photos being posted about five times each.

We’re gonna need some aerial photography to assess the actual possibilities this particular location. When can we expect to see that material posted?

Thank God for 2pole and eagle peak.

Makes places like kicking horse, revy, big sky and Jackson look like mole hills in comparison.

Exclamation Steven's Creek Expansion - Eagle Peak Ski Resort

Alright! Here it is... the latest 2023 expansion of Free Ski Mountaineering at Eagle Peak Ski Resort in Spokane, Washington: Steven's Creek. Steven's Creek is an area of the Dishman Hills Conservancy that occupies the Southern Slopes of Tower Mountain. Tower Mountain can be seen in previously posted pictures taken from Eagle Peak in Dishman Hills. There is a ridge that extends South from Eagle Peak and then up to the somewhat higher Tower Mountain and its little sister; Brown's Mountain. Realistically, this whole area of the county could be referred to as Dishman Hills, and the primary geographic feature would be Tower Mountain, and most of the skiing would be on Eagle Peak. It is necessary to include the skiing in this enormous bowl above the Palouse (Steven's Creek) as skiing in the Eagle Peak Ski Resort because one would end up utilizing all of the same resources and services that already have been or will be listed in this thread for Eagle Peak. Thus, there is no need for a separate thread or information system for this area, and the marketing materials (which we don't plan on making) could say "Ski Dishman Hills: Eagle Peak Ski Resort". Anyways, on the deepest days you would be able to ski from the top of Tower Mountain down to your car at the Steven's Creek Trail Head. Usually, you would just ski down to the sign in the clearing before hiking out. If conditions are poor then there still should be skiing up top for most of the season. There is definitely significant avalanche hazard, and safe backcountry travel skills and equipment are necessary. Please also realize that the Iller Creek Trail Head of the Dishman Hills Conservancy can also access this area, but it is a much longer hike and Iller Creek is not suitable for skiing (although it has incredible mountain biking). In some of the photos if you look East you can see Mica Peak, which is a separate Conservation Area and geographic feature. Mica Peak sits directly South of Liberty Lake, where there is a wonderful campground. Yes there is skiing on Mica Peak, but that would be a whole separate free skiing area.

Was walking my neighborhood last night and was awestruck at the fact that I had such amazing terrain 10 minutes from my house.

2pole what sort of snowmaking will this backcountry resort use?

Yeah apparently AI is superior to many of the users here.

Also the potential for the first Rax-only resort in America (the world...??) is intriguing. Innovative!

Exclamation Views Of Eagle Peak (Phillip's Creek) From Iller Creek - Dishman Hills

These photos should help you understand the terrain on Eagle Peak from the Phillip's Creek Trailhead (Eastern Side) better. I took these photos yesterday while hiking from the Dishman Hills Iller Creek Trailhead (that leads up to the Rocks of Sharon from the Northern side). The rise you see straight ahead is Eagle Peak. The clearings you see on it lead down to Phillip's Creek. If it is clear enough to ski then it is clear enough to slide, so remember to bring your beeping partner when you visit in the Winter.

Terrain looks sick, but what about the avy potential after one of those 3 ft storms I hear so much about?
