must be working since everyone has a photo of a car doing the same grifting. I blame the growing wealth gap and income inequalities in this country more than some kids looking for handouts. Definitely easier to hate on the little guy i guess.
Those doing it all at least own a car, so they ain't doing that bad. By definition much better than many others.

They were both barefoot in a parking lot. Guessing no, no, and most likely.

Reminds me of the panhandlers with cardboard signs pleading for help.
And yet you know they have subsidized housing and snap benefits etc.
the panhandling is cash money no taxes. Sometimes six figures in the right location.
If you feel bad for the panhandlers make a charity donation when you get home.

The contempt for the poor exhibited by (quite) a few posters on this forum is pretty gross.

There’s a pretty big safety net these days.
I feel bad for the working poor.

Also a time saver. No need to ask, “hey girl, what’s your screen name?”
I still call it The Jake.

There’s no net for the working poor.
But there are shelters and housing and government cheese. And private charities and shelters.
Would suck to be truly homeless. I’d hire the homeless. If they weren’t fucked up junkies. True down on luck honest people deserve support of every kind.
Junkies need love too. It’s just not enough to love them. There’s something else needed. Tranq. Philly. Wtf. I don’t get it.

How did a discussion about people writing go fund me requests on their rear window become a discussion about homelessness?
And if the people in question are truly destitute--which I don't think they are-- let them sit on the corner with a sign like everyone else.

Begging and grifting are as old as time. If you don't want to give just pass.

I like hobos. Someone on a travel adventure can get a few bucks from me.
But the same person on the same street corner day after day? Nope.

I think the kids call it “the confidence of a mediocre white dude”.
