My Recent Trip in the US of A...sort of (with colonies)

So we flew to Vermont and rented a 4wd Ford Telstar station wagon, I can say they have burly taste in skis in VT:

From there we made a quick swing through New Jersey where we caught sight of this PIMPIN Z28, high fokkin roller baby:

A fast run through the home state and a peak (pun I know) at some of the last remaining snow:

That out of the way we headed for Wyoming to hang out with some "friends" of ours, hey good lookin...what ya got cookin?

A quick blast through Montana (sorry Travy and Sammy, no time to stop):

more to come as I get them processed and written up

From Montana we made directly across Idaho where we saw a small fire:

and decided to see what was up with the homies in Warshington, see what the snow situation looks like there...pretty grim really:

Next we skipped up to Canada, eh, where I snapped this picture of the ever elusive Canadian Jay (aka: Gray Jay, Camp Robber etc...), notice the well developed beak for crushing walnuts and Scion XB's:

Pretty soon though we had to trip the light fantastic down the OR coast:

a quick run through Cali on the way to the airport:

next stop, the beautiful island of Hawai'i!:

it has been a real whirlwind, and there's more to come!

okay, you got me, none of those are from North America or any of the states, they're from the sincerely most disappointingly ugly country I have ever been to in my entire life (all 4 of em) who even in the midst of the "worst snow year in a decade" still found the love to give us two fun days of skiing and views out the wazoo...

incoming traffic, blows the doors off the telstar:

Some low angle stuff they wouldn't take us on

the obligatory point (my brother Adam who enabled this trip on the right):

All in all, I simply cannont recommend New Zealand

    enough.

many apologies for picture quality I am no gunder nor even AKPM and spent less than 10,000 USD on my camera and Zero USD on photography lessons

a few more shots of our heliday (thanks Methven Heliski for providing an actual good/great/awesome day of skiing):

    boorrrrrrrrrring!

My favorite picture from the trip:

Does it count as gaper gap if you are wearing sunglasses? In this case I think the answer is probably yes:

sorry, basically no action rad-o-extremo shots and pretty much it for tonight, my computer is tired.

You had me going with the Z28 I must admit.

Nice shots. I'll be there and Oz in March and April, so looking forward to it.

Ice- Rent the fastest, best handling car you can possibly afford in NZ. You can flog a car hard all day long on the W. Coast without coming even close to the speed limit. Don't forget to pick up some biting black sand fly repellent for the fam!

As for you other wiseacres, how do people not know about that? I'm not even a particularily big frank fan but come on, it is the symbol of modern Montana.

damn things are everywhere I tell ya!

Yeah uh don't go near the glacier and stuff okay?

Can you spot the kayaker? Yeah, me neither.

I did see two WW boats...the entire time...

Wanaka, a pretty piss poor excuse for a ski town, cruddy views, cruddy nightlife, cruddy ski areas, cruddy winter...oh wait, that last one wasn't sarcastic.

You can't tell me that this man doesn't get just friggin mad booty all the time, what a stone cold playa! His smooveness with the ladies with that natural frizz may even eclipse that of Rusty...tellin you, stone cold!

The one and only, lane meyer:

Here is the player with the ultimate beer consumer and he with likely the most original screen name Geoff

I also got to meet midget and Skea457 but didn't get mugshots of them.

bye bye, last one (probably)...damn...a way too short trip...gotta go back when the snow's just a teensy bit deeper cause the possibilities are endless.
