    A couple posts mentioned kids.
There are times when I wish I was too old to deal with mentoring the next generation. She’s a pre-teen.

But catching her pilfing baked sweets (gluten intolerant? testing) while entertaining our hosts, keeps me on my toes.

I pee in the dark standing up. Just use your ears for target. Suck when wife doesn't flush pee tp wipe, piss splatters on my legs and sounds like I'm pissing on a carpet. Maybe I'll just start pissing in the walk in shower in the middle of the night.

I'm too old for gourmet bottled water in the same forum as people who have to defend standing to piss as if it's some sort of accomplishment.

Reading the Salida thread reminded me of another one: serious mountain biking.

How can you be too old for performance khakis? They are so comfortable and the only thing I want to wear in the south when it’s 100 with 80% humidity.

Probably should file under « things that bug you but shouldn’t « but that list gets longer as I age…

I like comfortable khakis at work, but I'm with you on the sneakers with suits thing. That's a stupid trend that needs to die. And not only is it a stupid trend, but they're not just regular sneakers, those thing's are like $250 plus. You can buy a very comfortable pair of dress shoes for $250.

I'm also to old for the performative work clothes thing.

In my office up to a certain level no one seems to give two shits about what they wear and then exactly one level above that everyone is wearing a long sleeve button down (no tie), khakis and either the aforementioned fancy sneakers or dress shoes.

I work in shorts and a button down at home most days but if at my hotels and/or with clients I suit and occasionally tie up.
Yesterday in DC suit and tie and wingtips ( 12 yo with now rubber soles) comfy as fk to walk allover and fly home
