Actually, I fish around otters more than tubers and otters aren't good for fishing either. Probably worse. Fish react like deer seeing a pack of wolves sprinting towards them.

Yup. Throwing dries one day into a frenzy of risers when it just went dead quiet. Then these two surfaced about 50’ away

Yeah there was point where people were getting attacked by otters on the Missouri at Yorks islands between toston and Townsend every year. There's a couple feisty bastards in trout lake in YNP as well. I've whacked a couple with my oars a few times. Fuck those squirrelly little fucks.
