i can see Deion going to A&M for big bucks in the next couple years though.
True. i think it'll be hard for him to turn down the right pro gig

ESPN has gotten so bad, their writers don't even follow football.

Surprisingly, the 12 model twists the arm of independents to join a conference.

What a great game! The stadium was rockin after that opening kick TD return.

Different seats this time, up high. It was cool to see the plays develop from this location. Plus, beer...

"Saban hosted legacy recruit Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. and other recruits for a visit this weekend at the Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The high school safety’s father Dre Kirkpatrick played defensive back for Saban from 2009 to 2011 before forging a 10-year career in the NFL.
But despite a probable Crimson-colored bias within the Kirkpatrick household, Saban still brought out the big guns — or rather, the big cars — to impress the youngster."

No pretense now. The Power 5 FB players will all be driving 6 figure luxury sports cars. Entourages of hangers on. Gold chains. Gold teeth. Bling, blind diamond studded earrings. No need to go pro early, aka NFL, because they are already pro.

Bobby should consider opening dealerships in Tuscaloosa, Athens, Columbus, etc. That's where the $$ is.

Straight out of the former player/coach playbook.

    John Elway Chevrolet.

Maybe Bobby could help him set it all up.

Yep, this might actually "save" college football. There will be a lot of kids who are earning high 6-7 figure NIL deals in college that will stay for their junior and senior years if they arent garaunteed 1st round... the Bo Nix's of the world for example, or the Shadeur Sanders'.

That's pretty cool. Sidenote, I just discovered that Penix is the same age as Nix, both being 23 years old.

Maalik Murphy just hit the transfer portal. Too bad for Texas, but can’t blame him given the situation with Quinn and Arch. Where does he end up? I’m guessing Ohio State.

Griz vs. Bizon game was absolutely fantastic! Griz should have had it wrapped up, but double OT for the thrilling win.

Now the natty vs. SDSU and that doesn't look promising based on how good the Jackrabbits look. But somebody has to take them on.

On Friday, in the Stagg Bowl (the Div 3 championship game), newcomer Cortland defeated defending champ North Central 38-37.

It was a fun game to watch (on TV). The game was scoreless for the first 25 minutes with both teams generating long drives but failing to convert on 4th and short, and electing no go for it rather than kick short field goals. Finally, scoring started with 5 minutes left in the half, and NC took a 7-3 lead at halftime.

The second half was a completely different story, with both teams scoring on just about every possession - a real boat race. The defense of both teams looked strong in the first half, but disappeared after that. NC had a chance to tie the game with about 2 minutes left, but went for 2 pt conversion and the win instead and didn’t make it.

This is the first visit for Cortland to the Stagg Bowl. North Central has played in it the last 4 times it was played, and won it twice in those years. Two years ago, the school down the street from my house, Mary Hardin-Baylor, defeated North Central in the Stagg Bowl to take the D3 national championship. So I have an interest in the game.

I got to watch one of the playoff games in person that year. Paid $7 for a seat on the 50yd line, 4 rows up from the field. Wish I could find a deal like that for the Sugar Bowl this year…

What a game! Got my tickets to Frisco, probably overpaid for the game tickets, but was worried demand will be high. Looks like 2 day charter trip from MSO and Billings is sold out as of this morning. Going to be Wa-Griz South!

Did fans really get the goal posts? Looks like staff to me in your photo and other video I watched.

    Go Griz!
