Nope... Although some damage to the ear does occur... The physics involved do not lend the entire weight of the cattle on it's ear... Running forward, grabbed by the jowl or ear and forced head down, the momentum still in the animal forces it ass over tea kettle.

Pardon my ignorance but if a bulldog tried to toss a cow by its ear, wouldn't it just rip the ear off?
