Off the topic of mother's day...

What kind of blows my mind about facebook and instagram in particular is that, to my knowledge, there's no paid option to remove all the bullshit. That is shocking. I'm genuinely interested in what my FB friends and IG follows up are to, that's why I followed them. Many are friends IRL or professional athletes or pages like Nat Geo, etc.

Social media got majorly derailed when stuff that I DON'T want to see started to be shoved down my throat. The other skin crawly part to me is that the mega corps who own the popular social media platforms must know they're missing out on huge revenue opportunities by not offering paid subscriptions to remove the ads, sponsored, and suggested posts.. Yet that's still not an option on any of them.

I'm off all social except trg...if this is one...and strava...if that is one also. Insta jumped the shark when it wasn't "in the moment" or at least shortly thereafter. I've lost track of the others and even forgotten names, like snapface etc. Social media has changed society in that many now hide behind this wall of surrealism. Only time will tell the true effects it will have forsaken upon all that engaged.

Gmail is going to purge accounts that haven’t been accessed in over 2yrs. So, if your alias needs a verification link to reset the password, you may want to figure that out. Google says they’ll send notice to backup contact info if the account has any. Then, likely purge by January 2024…

I guess that PSA might apply for any base accounts too
