On the surface if you are a bike geek this seems correct. But after owning one of these in our household since February 2020 it's wrong.

The Rad has proven to be a work horse. It's been ridden to work in North Vancouver 5 days a week in ALL weather and lives outside locked up during the day. It's done that with a daily commute of 6.5km and 155m climb back up hill daily. We had a controller screen replaced under warranty but the rest has been good. It's not flashy but it all just works. After a just over a year and a half I replaced the cable actuated disc brakes with some Magura's that I had. The rest just keeps going.

Things I wish they did different? Wish they did a torque sensor bb instead of the cadence, it would help some on hills. I think the newer ones are a gear drive rear hub motor vs the older direct drive and they would be my other want, it would climb a bit better fully loaded this way.

Anyway just had to chime in that the Rad bikes aren't just for noodling to farmers market in pleasant weather.

As one who lives in the watershed, I was disappointed to learn that they’re HQ’ed in SoCal.

So in a some what related question i have been thinking about getting a trailer for my radrover ebike. I have looked at basic searches but interested to hear what folks with them might recommend?

Most likely a two wheeled unit. Uses include gravel, dirt road, bit of paved road and bike path to haul inflateable sups and or rafts but not limited to other loads.

I rode a Specialized Haul ST yesterday. Pretty fun decent handling little ride.

I think all these bikes should have directionals on them. A lot of 4 way stops and at that point you're essentially a motorcycle, so giving cars a heads up in your direction would be nice. Hand signals work, but for the amount of people riding these things that barely can ride a bike to begin with taking one hand of the bar (and for how long so everyone notices) doesn't make sense. So I find them a bit sketchy, but I'm afraid to ride a rhoad bike anyway because I don't trust drivers as it is.
