BYU doesn’t play WVU this season anyways, not till 2025. My manager (and friend) is Mormon, his family has had season tickets to BYU for a long time. He doesn’t drink but seems to have a good time down there every game.

All my Utes friends here don't bother to go to the Holy War except when they play at Rice-Eccles.

    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!

Back to MLB in SLC. With NHL now in place, not sure Ryan Smith has the money for another team, so is it Gail Miller bringing in MLB?

Remember when HS state basketball playoffs were there in the 80s and many students and fans my Catholic High School snuck in bourbon to pour into the caffeine free pepsi they only served then in the arena.

I hope Portland gets a team someday. MLB and NHL need to come to town.

gail miller is already spending all that money to privately fund a new bees stadium in daybreak.

although with all the money she made from selling the jazz she'll have some leftover but i don't think slc is big enough to be a tripple a and mlb town.

The Millers didn’t make their money on the Jazz, that was a hobby for Larry. When I moved here 30 years ago I worked at their first dealership, a Toyota store. They had already figured out the penny pinching fuck your employees over profit long ago. Worst dealership I ever worked at.

Larry would come to the Christmas party, cry tears about how much he loved everyone. Then fire half the sales staff days before the holiday. Dude was a dick.

I handled Larry’s mom’s bank accounts back in the day. She basically lived like pauper and he’d give her $1,200/month as long as she agreed not to drink wine. Larry was a total asshole.

WVU Mountaineers games are the absolute polar opposite of this. There’s food, but the sheer volume of beer both available and consumed is a sight to see.
Beer and football go hand in hand for the whole state of West Virginia. And pepperoni rolls.

As a native of Portland and big Trailblazer fan, I 100% agree. Went to a ton of Beavers and Winterhawks games as a kid.

with the giants having as hard a time as they do signing free agents because the city is perceived as a shithole (https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/loca...aints/3397370/), i'd say don't count on being good.
