Bye, just another phrase for "see ya next year".
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Not wrong. Bravos took it to game 4.

Was really looking forward to hitting up a NLCS game next week too.

I'm happy with both NL winners, but would have liked to see both series go longer.

I LOVED the phillies fans mocking to chop. The chop is the most blantantly racist gesture in all of sports and should be banned. I can't believe Atlanta fans don't understand this. It's embarrassing.

    Really cant believe it?!?
Ask them how Atlanta became a first tier city in the first place and they may mention cotton and centrally located and the industrial revolution plus railroads but will leave out a key part of the economic boom they rode the wave of.....

    Sure thing.

How much time have the 3 of you spent in Atlanta or the south? Why not demand that Atlanta drop the name "Braves"? Maybe they could the the Rhetts or how about the Commodores .

Look the chop is stupid, and has no place in modern life; but to extrapolate that and make the jump to compare 2023 modern metropolis Atlanta to 1850s Atlanta is a stretch and intellectually weak.

I see way more real life examples of black and white people getting along, socializing, and doing business here than I ever have in cities up north or out west not named New York.

Come on guys, it’s baseball not Polyass.

^^^ This. I was in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago and thought that for a really big city most people managed to get along surprisingly well. And way more diverse than where I live.

And while we are at it, FUCK the Phillies.

I asked a braves fan last night if he was going to throw garbage on the field like they did in atlanta. Just smirked.
Hardly mentioned by media too afterwards....but if it was here and done by philly fans??? Forget it.

Everyone knows that it was Philly fans who dressed up in Braves gear that threw all that trash! Duh!

I thought throwing trash on the field stopped when Browns fans lost their team a game because of it. Guess not.

    When’s D-cell night this Postseason?

Lived in Atlanta when I was younger, then moved to NC, then TN before Utah. Been to ATL often for business in the last 20 years, as recently as a few months ago your point?

and Bmills my point wasnt to compare "compare 2023 modern metropolis Atlanta to 1850s Atlanta " it was to point out that most current Georgians dont mind the chop for the same reasons that they cant admit that the economy of their state and honestly the country was built on slavery driving incredible production on fertile land taken by force from the people that occupied it before us.

    Go Phillies

Come on....d-cell night is always the 2nd home game of the nlcs. 1st home game is snowcone night where you take the ice....pretend it's a snowball...and fire at the opposing team.

Hey man, you know I got no beef with you. I just didn’t see the extrapolated point you were making. The chop is embarrassing, period. No way I’m defending that. I just didn’t read anything into the mindstate of an entire region (Braves country certainly is bigger than my Guards’) beyond not wanting to give up their embarrassing chant.

Awesome. I must have missed that on the magnet schedule.

Makes me remember the days at Michigan Stadium when the student section would soak jet puffed marshmallows in water and let them dry - they became rocks which were used to pelt the opposing team. Ah, the 90s.

Did the Fenway tour with my wife and daughter. Have seen games here from every vantage point (except the Green Monster seats) but the tour is so awesome. Highly recommend!!
