my dilhema (help me build my hardtail)

So my friend gave me an Azonic DS1 frame and I've set out to build a singlespeed. The primary use is going to be mainly getting like 3 feet of air off sweet jumps, but I'll be riding it around town too.

My original intent was to use a Sherman Flick, but upon investigation it appears that 150mm may be too much travel. So now I need a fork and it must be a through axle... Any suggestions? I can get a Pike SL (nice beause of adjustable travel) for a decent deal, but it's still a bit expensive to put on a free frame. Anyone have a z1 or DJ lying around that they really want to get rid of? Or should I just sack up, put the flick on it and put an Orange County Choppers sticker on it (that's what it looked like).

The other thing I need is the bottom bracket bearings/cups for profile mtb cranks, anyone have some of these laying around?

So I decided to use a quick release Z1 that I already had because I was able to get some wheels for it...

Next step is brakes. Initially I was thinking of getting an Avid bb7 for the front (probably do rim brake in the back) but comparing prices I can get Juicy 5's for the same price (after I buy levers for the 7 + rim brake). I've heard nothing but good about the bb7's and some good, some bad about the Juicy 5's. Anyone had experience with both?
