    Oct. Powder

Anybody else get the new issue yet? I'm not a huge jibbing fan, but the shot on the cover is down right awesome, especially from an artistic point of view. Some cool articles as well. Sweet story on the La Meige to Veribier tour.

having a railslide on the cover of a magazine called "Powder" is like showing a huge tram line hit with the tram in the background on the cover of "Backcountry"
its all skiing, but not at all what the mag and its title usually promote.

Got it yesterday, haven't read it yet but browsed the porn...Woodsy makes a good point about pow v. the park on the cover shot, although I'd also say that, despite the magazine's name, it's likely to cover whatever is progressive in the sport, so maybe the rail's not such an anomaly. At any rate, the cover is the best I've seen on any mag in a very long time.

cover shot is pretty, and thanks Monique, I get your point too.
But Plake, et al. read Tom Bie's intro again.
    read it and think.
    then look at the cover.
    its an odd juxtaposition.

    very nice work

the one thing I love about powder is how long it takes to read

i can read SKI in about 2 minutes SKIING takes about 5, all they are is ads and a couple of scraps of text about where the best apres-ski shopping is
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

WTF? How can you get an issue of Powder and not sit right down and read it cover to cover? I just don't get it.
It's heartbreaking to see a chick who's too anorexic.
