    I can't say I ever "got" Phish.
But Goose draws some interest despite my resistance to that style post-Dead.

I've been seeing my jam band friends touting them for a while. I retired from the Dead and Phish 30 years ago, not sure I'll ever really get back in to the jam band style.

    CT Boys.
I like some of their stuff, but like others I am moving away from Jam Bands.

there was a guy on phishhook that was insistent that kings of leon is a manufactured band from producers writing all their stuff, like a boy band, etc.

I've seen theories that this is kind of like the jam band version of this but with peter shapiro as the puppet master.

I am here to post in this very important thread. They’ve developed their own brand of what I call “ excessive jam band wankery” and they’re pretty damn good at it. Not really offensive in any manner. Nice to see TGR in the game here.

Yes, next great animal ham bland.

I had a period of leaving jam bands but I've gotten back into a few of them. Hard to beat the bang for the buck in terms of a live experience..and always better than the album.

Goose is legitimately talented and has steadily grown on me. Doing mostly theaters now, but unfortunately arenas are coming up next.

I must be getting old and jaded. I've tried a couple times. The cheeseball frat bro wankery is just too high. It's jamband shit for people who have never seen much real music. Sorry, not sorry.

Totally agree. This band smokes and not in your run of the mill ham bland sorta way. Love it.

    KGLW is fucking sick.

Speaking of ham band adjacent: I saw Cory Wong last month. Really did not want to like this guy. Vulfpeck is pretty cringe really, but man Cory can fucking PLAY. He actually plays lead/solos alot with this band and it's really good. Solo on this is tight.

I have to say that Pigeons Playing Ping Pong were, is, and are the former, current, and next great animal band.

I started out referring to them as the Guster of ham bands, still seems that way a bit. Oddly enough I started liking them listening to the latest studio album Dripfield. Caught the Taboose show w/Singlecross last Fall and their set was good, would go see them again for sure. Wouldn't travel to see them.

KGLW is another story, I'd fly to CO to see them at Red Rocks. That band is the most prolific and interesting thing I've heard in years.

    10/10 would bang the lizard

Seems like these bands discovered our 80's fusion and moustaches and mixed it with some pop sensibilities and I'm good with that

I need to listen to more klwg i guess. My friend has an extra three night pair of tickets for here in Washington this summer that I haven't committed to. Although I'm now hearing the venue may be up in the air.

Like me the Goose. Caught them in Lowell w/Trey. Did listen to their stuff a fair amount when tour was annouced, and really enjoyed it. Trey really slayed tge collab songs. Going to be at Sugarloaf during spring tour.

Yup, the jams got better in Portland when he joined. All I Need was great.

Orebolo is acoustic Goose minus drums…and I may like it better.

Just to clarify - Orebolo is Jeff (goose percussionist) on Upright Bass instead of Goose’s Bass player Trevor.

Orebolo also fucks hard and in some ways I prefer it to goose. Also, less spuntards, but only handful of shows per year.

I was really hoping to see them live this year in Boulder for the first time but was still south of the boarder. From what I have heard, I like.

Just saw this thread looking for soemting else - saw Goose for the first time (been trying to see htem for a while but it hadn't worked out) at the Levitate festival a month or so ago and they were great. I was all in. It was all good but I really dug the cover of Blind Melon's No Rain. Shitty audio but:
