What is Nevada good for, you may ask? It is good for having thousands of miles of deserted space: good for things like driving at 160 MPH, or hosting a party for 35,000 people.
The last two weekends were interesting NV weekends for me.
First, was an Open Road Race with my Dad. In this car race they close 130 miles of a public highway and you sign up for a specific speed that you are going to try to average. We were in the 130 MPH group and it took us 59 minutes, and 59.3 seconds (which put us in second place). The highlight was getting clocked doing 161 MPH through one section.....a good time was had.
Second, Britney and I made our inaugural trip to Burning Man. For those that dont know, this is a 35,000 person party/art exhibit/freakshow/city. We spent 4 days riding bikes through a crazy desert filled with art exhibits (both built structures and human's making statements).....and 4 nights prowling the craziest outdoor Mad Max style parties scattered throughout a 2 mile wide cirlcular city.
