Winter has arrived! Hope everyone is getting the goods. Heading to Jay this afternoon for several days to chase the Jay Cloud now that there is a base. Going with the lady but she's an intermediate. Hoping to connect with some Mags for some pow. Cheers ECRC. Let it snow! Happy Holidays!

    Great pic!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I'll be at Jay about noon tomorrow to buy my pass and staying through Monday possibly Tuesday. Just moved back from almost 20 years out west and haven't been to Jay since the early 2000s. Anyway, I'll be in a white/tan Dakine coat, green or purple pants and Krypton pros (various skis). I know skinepenem IRL...he can vouch for my kookyness! Coming from Jackstraw country and will be frequenting Jay and Ragged this year, so don't be shy

Killington was good this morning. Got some 🪨 rocks. Didn't ski in the woods due to fear of sharks.

Hit a tree branch as tall as my car on the route 4 driving toward Rutland. Fell right in front of me. No time to avoid just pin it to win it.

No ski pics... lame I know.

Next time I won't drive my wife's car.

Edited: because avocado toasts old username could be inferred as making fun of retarded people which is no longer cool

Always fun to ski with you cat. A good day indeed and all ended well with passes and bodies intact, albeit with some wardrobe changes to protect the guilty!

The drive from northern NH to K took a lot longer than expected. Rt 4 blocked by a tree, turned around, Costello Rd blocked. Turned around. 117 blocked but I went underneath. Barely.
First tracks at needles eye more than made up for it.
Snow was deep and dense. Great base builder.
Like others have said, great lift served new England day. And I was surprised about almost no lines for the lifts despite the parking being so full.

Got out for three magic carpet* laps at Mt Abram this morning and three lift served laps at Sunday River this afternoon. Skiing with my toddlers was awesome despite the inherent level of shitshow involved, and the actual skiing was far, far better than I expected for Sunday afternoon, even in the woods. I would've stayed out for longer, but after yesterday's digging out, my back isn't exactly happy with me.

*: Also not helping my back: some sort of issue preventing Mt Abram from loading public on the carpet, despite employees using it for ski school training. I get that you might have such a situation on an aerial lift, but a carpet? It's not exactly a difficult evac if it fails.
