    Canon S500 e-18 Error

While at the beach last week my wife dropped our digital camera in the sand and it now get's an e18 error when it is turned on. From the research I have done on the web this appears to be a lense alignment error. I have tried suggested fixes to no avail. This was purchased from Best Buy and is still under warranty so I will have to take it there according to Canon's site.

Just checkin' with others to see if this is a common problem with this model, and if anyone has ever had it repaired. Thanks!

I'd suggest not telling them, but you probably already know this, don't say you dropped it in the sand, just tell em it just "magically started doing it" and exchange it for the same or better.
