How pathetic. The first one I kinda/sorta justified it by saying it happened when I was crossing over a paved trail and was looking down the paved part at another biker as I was entering back into the woods. The 2nd time, I was less than 100 feet into my ride.
That one screwed up the entire rest of my ride. I was even thinking of attempting my first X-up off a little jump before I started, but my confidence was so far in the crapper that I pussed out.
