Couldn't handle watching "The Whole Edit"...kept scrolling to the Snotch attempts and riding

Impressive climbing, great accomplishment, nice dude....the edit and backstory left me scratching my head, kinda weird IMO.....would've liked to seen more footy of the other cruxy sections of TWE climbing

But overall pretty cool concept/goal and nice to see something different/creative...totally support the mental health aspect, If more people rode bikes the world would be a better place. Put the phone down and get outside!

I miss the cold stainless steel bunks of the Moab jail. RIP TGR enchilada fest. We had a good thing going there for awhile.

And I cannot remotely comprehend pulling this off.

This is very probably the greatest feat in the technical climbing discipline, which happens to be my favorite. Movie could be better and all, but that was awesome. TFP

Yeah, maybe if they climbed better...

Yeah, it was even better than I expected. Sure, there's a little fluff to create the backstory and a story line, but I didn't think that was over the top. The preparation and actual effort was incredible.

I've always liked this guy's stuff since tech climbing is my favorite type of riding and he is just absurd at it. Learned a lot from watching him especially since he's less trialsy so it's more about figuring out traction, momentum, and line choice which requires even more explosive power, endurance, and determination. There aren't many short burst activities I can think of that are more mentally and physically exhausting than trying to climb shit like that on a bike

If he wants a long ass backstory then so be it - he deserves it

Not getting the complaints about the length. Do you guys ever watch a movie? Rampage? A Warren Miller film? Any bike racing? Any sporting event at all?
    Talk about short attention spans.
It's a movie, not a Pinkbike video, and it's a much better movie than many I've watched. The ride footage was great and the back story was very interesting.
    Two thumbs up

I watched it. It was an incredible feat of athleticism. The way he powered up stuff, like the Snotch, was way more impressive than the bunny hop trials technique you often see on tech climbing videos. Especially when you considered some of those features he had to try 50+ times to clean, on top of all the rest of the climbing and multiple attempts of other key features.

Seriously, even having the gas to attempt any feature like that 50+ times in one session is an athletic feat in itself

What impressed me most was riding up Burro at the end, completely gassed, at elevation, in the rain, in the dark, without even a proper bike light.

Wow, this looks interesting. I'll have to check it out. Does he carry extra batteries with him?

I don't even think I could do it with an e-bike. I'd need something that went "Brap brap brap"

Probably should have started at 6:30 instead of 7:30am.

An amazing feat. I can’t even begin to comprehend how hard that is.

I don't think he was planning on taking 30+ attempts on a couple of sections, at some point he says he hopes to have everything dialed so it goes in 2-3 attempts. The amount of time and energy burned by repeating a 100' section that many times is just insane.
But yes, if I had 8k of climbing ahead of me, even on smooth trails, I'd get myself out of bed early when it's October and there's snow in the forecast...

Another thing that impressed me was his determination to do every feature completely. I think I'd have called a couple of those small "hand dabs" a win and go on.

Of course then he'd have gotten roasted by the community for cheating.

Watched in a few chunks, as it did press on my attention span for what we’re used to from small clips these days. Seriously impressive as mentioned, non trials style and that slog in the rain looked brutal!

Well, full disclosure as to why I am curious. I was just at the Trans Sierra Norte Enduro race, and I was surprised that about 2/3’rds of everybody, including most of the pros, were on clipless. I think for technical climbing like this, it’s an advantage.
