Utards. Season Pass ?

Well, my dad just called me asking where he should by a pass now that he's in SLC. He's considering Alta, Solitude or the Canyons. Since he lives just south of sugar house I said you have to go with one of the cottonwood resorts cause they are so dang close. I told him to go with Alta because everybody who has the chance should own an Alta pass once. But at the same time he is trying to avoid crowds as much as possible so Solitude might be better but since I've never skied there I can't give him any advice on the terrain. So I am turning to the maggots for help (and living vicariously through my dad).

whats his work, etc. schedule like?
if he knows his days he can ski, buy a soli pass for those days and then a silver card from Alta. great combo.

I had an Alta pass for years, but it did not pay off for a weekend warrior.
if he can ski any day and plans too, Alta pass is $. how, um, well dedicated is he?
won't chime in about the crowds..............

He works Tues, Wed, Thurs in Washington and spends the Fri- Mon in Utah. Friday and monday will be his big days for himself. Saturdays will be spent with my 11yr old sister and 15yr old brother.

well dependent on wether he wants to ski on sundy, he could get monday/Friday season pass for less than $320

I like Solitude's idea there... $229 base for Mon-Thur, then pay additional to add on days. Thats a pretty sweet deal, for only $59 more you can add on Fridays.
