    I found out over the weekend that Idaho charges a 50% tax on lottery tickets. Powerball is $3 instead of $2 without the multiplier. Pretty wild.

    I don't think the pb multiplier is worth it, especially in a group buy.

    We are playing because the jackpot is >2x the 1 in 300M odds. Multiplier doesn't affect the jackpot.

    We are not playing for a 1 in 12M prize of 1M that doubles to 2M with the multiplier. We'd rather buy an extra ticket every other time for 50% more jackpot chances. (Or buy a state lottery ticket instead)
