Solid plan. Similarly, I'd prolly move away too and would go back to MT.

Me. I'm that wise man. Or at least one of them. There probably are many. Because -- wait for it -- Texas sucks.

    Neighbors… HA! You’re so cute.

Jillionaires don’t have neighbors. Unless you count staff housing.

Powerball drawing was 22, 24, 40, 52, 64, and the Powerball 10. And reposts are one winning ticket matched all six numbers and was sold at the Midway Market & Liquor on Frazier Mountain Park Road in Frazier Park, Calif.

Seven tickets matched all five numbers except for the Powerball worth $1 million. They were purchased in California (two), Florida (two), New York, Oklahoma, and Virginia. Two tickets sold in Arizona and Pennsylvania matched all five numbers except for the Powerball and added the Power Play for $2 million.

Actually I've heard this from *two* other gents other than yourself. Ironically, BOTH of them actually live in Texas.

Alright well thanks for trying and the entertainment. The first day of the new war I felt a bit bad about playing a game while people were dying, but then decided at least a fun distraction.

With the games growing faster than they used to I'd say starting the next at 800 or 900 jillion might be logical.

Now that we have time and not an active game going on, talk amongst yourselves about if you like the everyone buy a ticket and post it idea, and what loopholes there might be for Utards and Canadadians if we went that route.

I still think next time we all purchase a ticket and upload it to be in the pool. Guys in dry states can sent me their cash to buy theirs.

Imo .the current method of 1 buyer has much less potential for legal hassles than the many buyers idea.

Yeah, unless we all sign some common agreement to share I doubt it holds up.

Agreed. It's easy for a 1 post jong to claim they're in, but if they have the winner they're ghosting us 100%.
Wait, how can we trust this guy^^^ He's clearly not DJSapp

Hmmmm, so like all things in life we can't have nice things because of one or two assholes. sigh...
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Hey guys, something to think about for when we win the next one: any interest in getting together to fund a small foundation? I'm thinking it would be fun to give grants to support young snow sports athletes (like age 10 through 21) and help them reach the next level. If everyone or a big chunk of the winners throws in $500k or so, we could have something sustainable.

SERIOUSLY!!! When I saw the news this morning, I was like "Of course it was in CA." In the meanwhile, that last young guy who hit the record PB is blowing through his cash about as fast he got it. Dude's been busy buying up multiple mansions around LA. What a waste. Should've been us. Been waiting to see the news say it was a winner in CO for once!

Absolutely! Except I say let's take it international!!! I love seeing people around the world trying their best to enjoy the snow but are usually held back by funds, thus gear, access, etc. Think of all the great potential in places across Asia, Eastern Europe, all the Americas from Mexico to Chile, and even Africa! It would be so rad to bring some smiles to kids everywhere, and even help spancer them so they can make it into the olympics to represent their countries!!! Would be a first for many.

Would give us a chance to ski every wild, remote interesting place on the planet, as well as spreading good cheer to all. Domestically, we can do the same for underprivileged kids here too! They also deserve to have fun. We'll certainly have the funds to go global with a project like this.

This is a succinct summary of the results of pursuing a "one ticket purchased by each pool member method".

The intent of a pool is to have one entity equally owned by the participants to receive the proceeds to be equally distributed to those participants (members); not to mention make it vastly easier on the individual running the pool to keep track of who is in and who has paid.

Additional benefits are not having to worry about how those in dry states and avoiding the worst case scenario of the individual holding the winning ticket (remember, tickets are bearer instrument) going dark when they found out they won (not that any of the Maggots would ever do such a thing). Google "lottery pool gone wrong" for more heartwarming stories.

We're super lucky that guys like Rideski (and L2S and Maz) step up to give 60+ internet skiers a chance at a share of $1B and make it really easy to do so. Even then it's a challenge to heard up all the cats to get their money in on time or even include their username in their PayPal; what kind of a goat rodeo would it be if those same 60+ stoners, er, skiers had to govern themselves and pull it all together in time?

In short, thanks Rideski, its appreciated and always fun to mix it up for a few days in here.
I still call it The Jake.

One person buys all the ticky for the pool. I believe the phrase goat rodeo was used. I believe that to be an understatement if we all each buy a ticket. Nightmare.

    Agreed ^^

Thanks for all the work you put into this, Rideski! And thanks for the good times everyone. Even if we didn't win the jackpot, perhaps the real treasure was the friends we made along the way...

Losing this time will just make it that much sweeter when we win..........next time!!!!!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
