You’ve said this a couple of times now.

It doesn’t prove that guns are needed. Just the opposite.

Increasing gun access is exactly what creates “more and more crazy gun violence”.

I’m stunned at how inured to facts you are. And you aren’t the only one blinded by the cult of gun.

It’s like a drug addict pretending they are fine in the face of deterioration of their health and relationships.

Around here and most right leaning metroplexes an insane number of people leave a spare handgun in their cars pretty much ALL the time.. console glove box, dash mount, or under the seat. It's common knowledge so ANYONE who wants a gun but can't legally get one (age, record, no $$s), They just go car to car at night checking door handles and within an hour they will find an unlocked car with a gun in it. There's literally hundreds of children ages 12 and up with handguns and this town is pretty much a war zone with one or more shootings daily.

Still not a chickenshit myself though. My sidaarm stays at home locked up ALL the time.

Dollars for donuts MTT has a gun in his car even when he's not in the car.

What do people afraid to go anywhere without a gun do when they go to a sports or concert venue, the airport, etc places where they can't bring the gun inside with them? Leave it in the car where children and criminal adults can steal it.

What's the first thing a paranoid ammosexual does when their gun is stolen? Runs out to buy more because they know there are armed criminals out there.. rinse and repeat so the town is a war zone..

A man who was open-carrying an AR-15-style rifle at a Missouri supermarket had his firearm stolen at gunpoint, according to police.

Then, in a surprising twist, he retrieved another gun from his vehicle, and opened fire on the man accused of robbing him, North County Police Cooperative said on Facebook.

Officers responded on May 27 after a call for "shots fired" at Wellston Food Market in St Louis, Missouri.

Officers said that a man had been carrying his rifle around the supermarket in a non-threatening manner.

When he stepped out of the store, a 31-year-old man held a pistol to the back of his head, according to a probable cause statement, per the NBC affiliate station KSDK.

He then stole the victim's jacket and gun, the probable cause statement said, KDSK reported.

After giving the rifle up, police said the victim grabbed another gun he had in his car and opened fire on the accused robber.

A shootout ensued, police said, during which two bystanders — both women — were struck. The injuries were not life-threatening.

The victim fled with his rifle while the accused robber, who had been shot several times, remained on the scene. A third man then also shot him, police said.

The accused robber is charged with armed criminal action, first-degree robbery, and two counts each of unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm, KSDK reported. His cash-only bond was set at $500,000, the local media outlet said.

"This is a very active and fluid investigation," said the North County Police Cooperative on Facebook.
You cannot make this shit up. We are wholly fucked.

I bet you’ve had a pistol in your hand while you’ve been posting all this. Occasionally dry firing at The View hosts on your tv.

In spite of your narrative of dangerous times, we live in one of if not the safest periods of history. The issue is access to firearms without a registration and database for ownership and transactions that isn’t some fragmented, state based paper records system. That and the lack of in depth background checks and reasonable waiting periods. You and your larper buddies should be all for tightening the system up if you are really serious about firearms safety.

I find it interesting. I say I have on occasion open carry in public and you try to label me as off or dangerous. But I am doing something that is perfectly legal. I am not dangerous. But you try to push a narrative. You have been doing it for years. And interesting as the guns control agenda just keeps pounding away. More and more crazy gun violence occurs.

Get a gun. Learn how to use it. Practice often! Carry it with you everywhere you go. This thread would not even exist if the right people had had a gun in this school

Just listening to the city people on the view talking about guns. All I hear is uneducated retardants
All right then. I guess any gun owners get locked up awaiting trial, since that’s the constitutional option.

Only if you let their lawyers bring them their guns. You can't go taking the 2A away just because someone is behind bars.

Jeez you guys! Think how safe jails and prisons would be if only all the inmates were armed.

It would certainly reduce shankings, if not general prison populations

Whenever I see a random guy open carrying his pistol in the grocery store, I know that he is a scared impotent child living out his fantasies.
I laugh at them and yet feel bad for them.

Two 20-something ladies got out of their F350
Tight wranglers (like painted on) - no Cope ring though

    Roper boots with spurs

Pretty much. We get them here occasionally - either shitkickers from the sticks or tourons from shit states. 99% of the time. Male. White. Disheveled / rough / low look. At least 45, but often older. Universally out of shape. The gun is typically part of whole identity statement: american flag hat or shirt. maybe a bowie knife strapped somewhere. slogan t-shirt telling us how tough they are. Laughable cut off sleeves. Or maybe full on cosplay cowboy.

In Pagosa, I went to the shitter at City Market on there was a .45 on the floor in the next stall over. Closer to me than him. Inches. Reckless. I almost took it for a laugh. Turns out decrepit old timer who could barely move. No way he coulda kept that gun from someone who wanted it.

Another stand out time was going to the liquor store in Cortez. Meth mouth guy who worked there had two side arms. Both with the hammer back. He was telling me about how the local 'spirits' talk to him and tell him things. Friendly, delusional, potentially dangerous but at least I could understand his circumstances.

Open carry people are usually the saddest bunch. Too shitty to get their CCW. Usually looking to get a 'rise' out of the normals. Worst handling/safety - hammer back, safety off, lo pull trigger, poor holster placement. Even tho there's a hint of aggression from them in public, that's 2ndary, I'm usually keeping my eye out for an accidental discharge or someone else taking their piece or their 'heroics' creating a cluster fuck.

That pretty much sums it up.

Only one I ever see around here in my who has the most colors on their rainbow flags town, is a portly, out of shape, too old to be mowing other people's lawns for a living guy. The moles better take cover!

Gunshots in this town are so frequent people don't even bother to call the police anymore unless we hear screaming and crying like someone nearby was hit. But, Nextdoor and Ring are lit up pretty much everyday with "did anyone else hear that??" Last summer a 19 year old kid was killed a block and a half from here. Cops were there all day gathering evidence and asking if anyone saw anything. Not a peep on the local nightly news shows.. Couple sentences about it on the local news website... never even mentioned the kid's name.

So this just happened in my town (well, technicality just outside of it)

______ remained in Whatcom County Jail following his weekend arrest on harassment and firearms charges after authorities said he pointed a gun at woman holding a baby... Deputies found 150 firearms ...an estimated 20 of them were unsecured ...some were loaded

If only there was something we could do...

Something that was drilled into me in police academy was that if you are carrying a gun and get into any confrontation (even an extremely minor one), it’s now an armed confrontation, which ups the consequences should something go sideways.

Most people that open or concealed carry don’t have that level of respect for the weapon. Its remarkably easy to get a gun away from someone in a scuffle. It’s also easy to see every conflict as solvable with a gun when you have one on your hip, rather than doing things like removing yourself from the situation, or de-escalating. I’ll freely admit most cops aren’t good at this either, which is a part of why we have so many unnecessary police shootings. And they’re ostensibly better trained than almost any regular Joe carrying out on the street.

So no, having more people carry more guns isn’t the answer. Most people don’t have the respect for guns they need to have to maturely use them. When you see it as a fun toy that goes boom and blows shit up, or see yourself as some Wild West macho gunslinger, you’re a part of the problem. Guns are tools that violently end lives, regardless of if you’re on the “good” or “bad” side of them.
