That Outside article was some grade A BS. And more I hear about that Stricland, the more of a lying narcissist he appears. No short supply of that kind in sports.

Here’s a life update for those who are interested. I can only share my own experience of being me, and I can’t really imagine what anyone else thinks or feels anymore.
Living in my body and my head has been a dark place to be for the last, oh, 9 months. My mind has not been a healthy place to live. Stress, combined with excessive drinking and a lack of exercise brought on an intense case of gout, which is an accumulation of crystalline deposits in your joints. It feels like your foot is fractured. A darkly ironic affliction for someone who used to exercise a lot. So in hopes of relief from this pain, I stopped drinking so much and went on a bike ride with my friend Eddy. It was a nice day. I don’t really have anything else to share. Just taking one day at a time, and trying keep my hands busy.

Kaitlin Armstrong was at it again today:

“Kaitlin Armstrong, the woman accused of killing professional cyclist Moriah “Mo” Wilson, attempted to escape the custody of Travis County corrections officers on Wednesday morning.
Armstrong ran from officers while leaving a medical office building around 8:17 a.m. Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s office spokesperson. After about 10 minutes, officers caught up to her and restrained her.”

    https://www.kxan.com/investigations/...der-trial/amp/

The article states that it is not uncommon for TCSO to transport an inmate to a doctor’s office or hospital when they require specialized medical treatment that is not available in their clinic.

I have heard from people close to the case that she is having complications from the Mexico nose job, because she was unable to have any follow up appointments after surgery based on the timing of her arrest.

When the department reviews their protocols they might consider hiring officers that can run more than 50 feet without falling down

No sympathy from this guy, but, I'd sure hate to have to have medical appointments for a year's worth of complications of my FAILED NOSE JOB. Yuck.

"We're going to have to review our prisoner protocol"... Uh, ball and chain is how you prevent that, Texas. Or shackles. I dunno but it shouldn't be that hard, figure it out. Fuckin' Texans.

Had no idea they still used those black and white striped uniforms.

Not that I’m rooting for Kaitlin but she really blew her fugitive run. If I was her, as soon as I got to Costa Rica I would have disappeared on a chicken bus south. Keep moving. Sneak across borders. Lay super low in small villages. Make my way to Brazil. Or some country without an extradition agreement. But no, she hangs out in backpacker central loaded with western tourists reading the news all day. Given that it took the feds like 6 weeks to find her shows how slow they were to investigate. She had a massive head start and really could have gotten away with this.

Yeah, movies and TV have led me to believe that narcissistic psychopaths usually have much better planning skills.

Her escape attempt was not from the nose doctor appointment. Apparently she went to the nose doctor over a month ago, and that was a test run to see how she would be transported, held, and moved for a medical appointment.
Her attempt was from a Orthotic appointment. This was one one the reasons she was not in leg shackles. She even planned wearing a tights layer under her prison jumper, so she could discard it during her escape. Had a broken pin on dental floss to manulipate her hands out of the cuffs.
She is the real deal bat shit crazy.

Murdering someone then thinking you can get away with it by fleeing and starting a new life at some yuppie, hippie yoga retreat is impossibly arrogant. That woman is not only a psychopath but also an entitled piece of shit.

Her trying to flee for a second time ensures that she ends up in prison.

Unfortunately during her murder trial they won’t be able to bring up the fact that she tried to escape while in custody. They will need to be tried separately for those charges.

I know right. Classic narcissist. Unaware of the magnitude of her actions. No remorse or fear it seems. Just felt like she was entitled to go live her best life. Bitch.

Could that come up in the sentencing phase when prosecutors push for a maximum sentence? I sure hope so!

The prosecution witness list was just released.
    Of notable mentions:
    Kaitlin's sister (subpoenaed)
A Costa Rica based plastic surgeon
    Colin Strickland

Court TV will air the case.

Is Red Bull sponsoring the trial?

I wonder what her plan was after prison escape. Sprint down the street hid in the bushes then find a job at yoga studio? She had no chance.

Apparently the prosecutors are able to use Kaitlyn's attempt to escape against her in during this trial.
The have submitted a notice of Intent to Introduce Evidence of Extraneous Conduct.
