I'll be looking for Freshies with my Alpine Pass.

No new skis, got that covered with the G4s and Exploders. May get the boots re-done with a liner from EliteFeet at Squaw. That and some BC gear.

Bring it on Ullr, you are my bitch.

CO Weekend Warrior (5 Mtn. Pass)
Backcountry is Free, thank god a**holes in Congress haven't yet figured out how to charge fee demo for winter recreation.

My gear dilemmas are many and complex. Humor me as i lay them out. In order of true need:
    1. Really need new alpine boots to replace 5 year old Salomon Course Axe. est. hit = $600ish
    2. Would like to replace 5 year old BC set up which consists of Fritschis and Atomic 10.Ex...atomics are pretty much shot...Firtschi titanal 3 not far behind. Skis = $200-$300 for something appropriately fat though used (Nordica beast 92 on ebay currently at $200 might work), bindings = $200-$400....
    3. Problem is, I'll be damned if I'm not going to Dynafits, which means replacing sick baby blue Denalis with Garmont Mega Ride or new Dynafit Aero Freeride. Hit = $600 +. AT boots and alpine boots are not the same thing and getting one pair is not a decent solution IMHO.
    4. My alpine quiver of one is a pair of 191 R:ex which i really like and find adequate for 80% of colorado resort days (people skiing spatulas in Colorado are fucking kidding themselves), but know that I could go fatter and be happy. possible scenario = 03 atomic big daddy off ebay for $289 + $40 for plate from mtn lion...allows me to take old salomon 914's off delamming but sentimental value Volant Chubbs.
    5. Should probably be #1 ....I am getting married in March and have a central american honeymoon trip to plan, not to mention incidental costs of the actual wedding.

Moral of the story is nothing new...not enough $ for the urges. I use to get proform and these dilmmeas were not so hard. But, to quote Lothar, it is now vexing to me. Any one want to buy my sperm? i've got plenty of that.

    Pass: Killington

Gear: Looking to get a softshell jacket and a new shell jacket to go over that. Probably get new ski pants and new boots too.

Picked up those flow bindings off steep&cheap today for my kiddo. He's sporting new 1080's and semi-new race skis (got those very end of last season). He needs new boots too and a team jacket. Plus I gotta pay for his racing and we rented a townhouse in the access road.

    cha-ching!

no new gear planned, except maybe a new helmet. mine is getting grunged.
my NS Infinity still kicks it like a champ... salomon boots and bindings still holding strong.

Pass: Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) Super Pass, plus any other passes I get for free as a media grunt.

Boards: K2 Eldo to start, K2 Ambush (still in plastic) as backup
Skis: Arno Adams for non-pow resort days, B3s with Freerides for backcountry. Need some fatty fatsters for resort pow. Probably should buy new boots. The ones I got at a pawn shop and have been using are really a couple sizes too big.

Pass: Alpine Meadows full, $99 Homewood pass if there are any left.

Skis: 186 Legend Pros, 191 Armada ANT's, 183 RD Helidog III's (thanks, Chupa)
    Bindings: Rossi 180's x 2, Freerides

Which bindings do I put on which skis? I'm thinking ANT's and LP's for resort days with the 180's, RD's as the BC setup.

    Pass:
RCR super pass (Louise, Fernie, Kimberley, Nakiska) - assuming the patrol thing still worlks out

    Gear:
Got some VonZipper Weisenheimers for cheap
Bought some Fat purple skins for the big daddys from telemarkski.com for cheap (thanks/I hate you to whoever posted that earlier this summer)
Going to try and find a pair of midfat twins with alpine binders for dicking around when I am not teleing. If I find some cheap at the ski swap great, if not then no biggie, I can wait until next year.

Pass: instructing 16 days at PCMR this season so free pass there. Also pick up some punch cards to maybe Alta, the Bird, not sure yet. Other job gives us occasional passes to the Canyons. Should be enough for me! Plus the backcountry....

Gear: Everything. Expensive, but all are musts. Again, Getting new ski boots next week, new board boots the week after, and shortly thereafter getting a new board (a must since my old one is 8 years old, wacko). And hopefully new skiis. Thank god for a little extra cash (that month with the three paychecks....nice)!

Am I the only one considering a "no pass" option?

I guess I'll go sit at the nerd lunch table.

Winter Park definite & maybe Colorado pass.

New gear will be the short bros. Open to suggestions on bindings, since I've been on markers for so long (ducks to avoid flames).

Short Bros? Come clean with the details if they are for real this season.
