Putin has all but admitted he lost his war. He is privately begging for peace, while publicly manipulating his puppet Trump to serve him Ukraine on a platter. The time for arguing about whether Russia can win the war is over. The time to push all possible aid to Ukraine is now.

Motherfuckers, what so hard to understand about *Ukraine is a sovereign nation, so they get to make their own plans*?

If they want our input on their plans, they can fucking ask!

Cause we are Amerika, fuck yeah! We should have not even bother to fight the Tories, they were dug in too deeply and the 13 colonies were off the table.

So, nuclear war for last 10%, no thanks, and the momentum has limg since been lost and we need to either step up, or try to make peace. Probably fail
    OK.

How about we let them take the Crimea River and the Dumbass region but fund and arm an never ending guerilla war in those areas?

By all accounts the US and Ukraine have reached a cease fire deal. Next move belongs to Putin.

After the damage had been done in Kursk to assist Russia against Ukraine, with Russians saying they are getting slaughtered retaking Kursk, the Trump admin lifted the halt on satellite access for Ukraine. Despite leaving Ukrainians effectively blind, Russia is suffering catastrophic losses in Kursk—nearly 55,000 casualties: over 22,000 killed, 32,000 wounded, another 1,000 captured, along with more than 2,000 pieces of Russian equipment including tanks, APCs, trucks, and aircraft.

Putin is already declaring victory. Meanwhile, according to Russian Telegram, Ukraine is advancing in Kupyansk, Svatove, Toretsk, and Pokrovsk.

What will Putins reply to the ceasefire prop be? Or was that already agreed to a month ago?

"Mr Putin’s problem is that he has not yet got what he wanted in Ukraine. His aim was to subjugate or cripple the country; sever its connections to the West; be rid of its troublesome president, Mr Zelensky; and permanently hobble its armed forces. His overarching ambition, as he has repeatedly made clear in writings and speeches, has been nothing less than to restore Russia as a great power with an extended sphere of influence, starting with Ukraine, its ancient heartland.

In fact, despite having lost an estimated 150,000-210,000 Russian dead, all Mr Putin has managed to do is capture roughly 11% of Ukraine’s territory, much of it now devastated by his own soldiers, adding to the chunk of around 7% that he seized in 2014. The end has not justified the means.

What Mr Putin surely wants is to win from Mr Trump what he has failed to seize on the battlefield. And at times Mr Trump has seemed alarmingly willing to satisfy him."

Trumps geo-weave has already done major damage for the US and the west, regardless of the likely outcome here, which is a win win for Trump and Putin.

A senior Kremlin official rejected the idea of a temporary ceasefire, as proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump's administration, saying Russia was only interested in a long-term resolution of the Ukraine conflict, Russian media reported. Yuri Ushakov, an aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, gave an interview to the Russia-1 TV channel. "We believe that our goal is a long-term peaceful settlement, we strive for this, a peaceful settlement that takes into account the legitimate interests of our country, our well-known concerns," Ushakov said, Interfax reported. "It seems to me that no one needs any steps that imitate peaceful actions in this situation."

Russia has been winning, and for a limg time, when they see no benefit to a ceasefire. Now what?

When you all admit that, let’s make some kind of plan.

Like, send them an air craft carrier?

    I say pull out.

Cono I think most of us would agree that Russia should pull out, and have been saying so for quite a while. Glad you're getting up to speed.

Maybe someday Trump & Co will realize the only way to get Putin to negotiate is to wreck Russia's ability to wage war, instead of undermining Ukraine's ability to defend itself. Russia was not winning, not by a long shot, until Trump reversed the equation

The entire untied states strategic bomber force, approx 150 aircraft, with conventional payloads, could not stop the Russia war making ability.

We made 12,000 bombers in ww2.

No need to be so dramatic. The Russian economy was quite literally collapsing up until Trump threw Putin a lifeline. Just look at a Ruble chart from this past December to now. Moscow had closed its stock exchange, Russian central banker Elvira Nabiullina had stated publicly she was no longer able to control inflation without raising the key rate beyond the already high 21-percent, and Russia's major industries were on the brink of collapse.

All of that is still true to some extent, but since Trump's inauguration their economy has pulled back from disaster just enough to keep the war going. The only thing left keeping the Russian economy alive is record oil & gas export revenues which sustain the Russian war machine. Russia is devoting more than 40-percent of its economy to the war effort. Anything non-defense is stagnating or shrinking in real terms due an official 10-percent (>20-percent real) inflation rate.

The appearance of a growing Russian economy is an illusionary synthetic reality based on labor shortages, enormous government spending on war material & troop costs, and exhausted production capacity. Without military spending the Russian economy is cooked. Putin is caught in an economic trap of his own making. Tighten sanctions & increase export transaction costs, and Putin's war is done
