Surprisingly, some of the conditional Trump supports are starting to see an understand that he is, in fact, compromised.

@twat quote function doesnt work properly, but indeed a good watch. Perks of a former soviet satellite - on one hand you have guys like Grozev who are ultra motivated in one direction and on the other, guys willing to do anything for euro notes (they don't get payed and don't want to get payed in rubles though, which I find hilarious) with a twisted nostalgia for the good old times. Remember watching a recent interview with him on Channel 4, where he said he no longer lives with his family for their own safety.

African countries that underwent coups in the 2020s, so far:

Coincidently, I'm sure, these countries also saw an influx of Russian mercenary companies like the Wagner Group and its successor Africa Corps; preceded by Russian propaganda campaigns promoting pro-Russian sentiment alongside anti-Western sentiment.

A lot of Americans dislike foreign aid. But it should really be thought of as soft-power. Threatening PEPFAR or RFK Jr's decision to end African vaccination programs, which often cost less than $1 per person, amounts to handing economic & diplomatic relations—for the second-largest continent by landmass with the fastest-growing population worldwide—over to Russia and China

Anti-Israel protestors attacked a Belgian subsidiary of Elbit Systems, OIP, damaging office spaces and tanks intended for delivery to Ukraine, reportedly delaying deliveries by over a month.

Palestine Action (soon to be designated as a terror) group reportedly planned to target the British airbases RAF Cranwell and RAF Barkston Heath, notably used as training airfields for Ukrainian pilots converting to F-16s and Mirage 2000s.

A group with possible Russian links has burned 6 heavy army trucks at two bases in Germany, claiming to be antiwar. I call it grey zone tactics by Russia around the NATO summit.

Russia seized a lithium deposit in Donetsk Oblast — one of Ukraine's most valuable assets, important for its partnership with the U.S. Can't help but think if the Trump Admin wasn't dramatically cutting military assistance & military intelligence Russia would not posses these valuable assets. Arming Ukraine means Ukrainians can liberate their territory, including President Trump's critical minerals interests

Falling polls and massive protests against Putin's puppets Orban and Serbian President Vucic in Europe:

Yeah well, they seem to have as much effect as the NoKings protests here (which I took part in, I’m not totally cynical).

You dont call the game at the top of the 1st. And keep going to protests and contacting your reps.

The falling polls and protests go together, you are accomplishing something by going even if it’s not obvious in the short term

    Ukraine

Yeah I get it. But I guess my point is that protests don’t seem to amount to much against a well organized autocratic (or fascist-wannabe state like our current administration). They just laugh it off. I was in Belgrade last year talking to a professor who’s part of the resistance, and they’ve been doing it against Vucic for years now to no avail. Same trip I was chatting with a doctor in Budapest who similarly despaired about ever getting Orban out of power. Their resistance is much better organized than what we have here in the USA, we’re to goddamn complacent and the MAGAs that elected Drumpf the second time still thinks he’s the tits. I’m kinda resigned to our oligarchy because of the Idiocracy.

Our problems are not a lack of protest. The soap box is important. The ballot box is more important. We are failing at the ballot box and the biggest reason is cumulative effects of a two party system with parties driven by their disconnected ideological wings combined with political thought segregation subject to ineffectual management of foreign influence operations across out society from socials to journalism to universities.

Not wrong. Also, now that there's a way for oligarchs to profit from it, the enemies leveraging the weaknesses of our open but (temporarily) binary-stable society are both foreign and domestic. See the takeover of all major news media.

Protests change the vote so there is that.
