If it could be stated in one sentence, what is the suitable endgame for this war? Other than Trump dying of a massive stroke in the next minute or two.

America of the past 50 years or so: Putin gtfo and we maintain stability in the area, providing assistance in rebuilding destruction because it’s the right thing to do and helps democracy around the world.

Trump America: we let Putin steamroll Ukraine and then offer to pay them for Ukraine’s mineral rights, because we’re fucking fascist idiots

Trackhead -

Ukraine gets to negotiate the end of the war at a time, and on terms, that are acceptable to Ukrainians.

In the mean time all free democracies should be providing all possible support to bring about terms that are acceptable to them and to punish Russia so that other dictators don't see that it's in their interests to start wars of aggression against free states.

And all seized Russian assets go to help Ukraine rebuild.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

J baron.

We already know what Ukraine wants, they want Russia completely, 100% out. Not like the fighting would end at a border, because it would all be over by then.

It's important to recognize Trump is not just surrendering to Putin, he's surrendering to Xi too. China’s Defense Ministry says to Taiwan, “We will come and get you, sooner or later. We make no promise to renounce the use of force, which is targeted at the ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist forces and external interference.” China says in order to advance unification with Taiwan the country will boost defense spending by 7.2% this year

Seems like that might not have the best risk/reward ratio.

How is the U.S. “surrendering” to Taiwan? And who the hell wants that problem anyway. Defending Taiwan from a Chinese military attack would probably result in the destruction of humanity, at a minimum the world economy.

Kinda fucking over the U.S. being expected to play world cop and simultaneously getting shit on at the same time. Everyone acknowledges they need our help, but then we simultaneously suck as a population at the same time.

"With great power comes great responsibility". Can't have your cake and eat it to.

Also, we're just shooting ourselves in the dick every single day:

Did anyone think this through? Some two-thirds of European defense procurement is spent on American weapons. If the U.S. indeed switched off the targeting of HIMARS in Ukraine - a country fighting a war that not just Kyiv, but most of Europe, consider existential
-buying any American technology will soon be considered a security risk.

Those breaths are coming from two different individuals.
