    Smile Ski/Snowboard Music Video

    Hello guys,

First of all, I'd like to apologize if my topic isn't in the correct section. I checked a little bit the forum and didn't find something related to music videos in the "Music" section (hope i was right). Second, i must apologize too for my bad english langage; english isn't my first langage (because I'm french) and I know i have to improve it (sorry then if you found grammatical, orthograpical mistakes in my post).

Well, let's go to the point. I'm a new member there, my first name's Laurent and I use to make music videos on differents footage like animation, movies or something else. This time i made a music video based on ski & snowboard footage (both those sports are part of my fav) and I'd like to know some commentaries of people praticing those sports.
A friend of mine suggested me this website and his forum because he knew there was some videos of the same aspect out there..........and probably some ppl could give me advices fo my future videos.

    link to the video
Song used : Glorious by Andreas Johnson
Footage : Videos ripped of my "Nuit de la glisse" DVDs (some of you probably already know this website and/or the movies Thierry Donard made).

I'm waiting for your commentaries guys; hope you'll enjoy the video

Great video. The last shot is amazing! Great editing and some great skiing.

My honest opinion though is that, in the US, for this audience, that music is not going to be very popular. It's a little too "pop" -- still, it's not bad

Yep, that was i thought; if you know some website/forum like this one but more oriented into "pop" music that'd be great.

My bad, forgot to say that the video is encoded Divx5
You can decode it by installing the latest Xvid codec and checking the box to decode divx4/mpeg4 files or directly installing the DivX5 codec much bigger than xvid...
The audio is encoded mp3 though
    Hope it'll work

nuit de la glisse can blow me

    I didn't watch the vid,
but as for Nuit de La Glisse, I can say that those slimey fuckers didn't pay me a dime after I wrote half the text for their promo magazine last year.
One of you slippery bastards owes me about a thousand euros.

Great footage, pretty good editing. I enjoyed it!

Those short road gap shots are amazing... they really give you a feel for the distances involved

Also, you have to be pretty rad to pull off a mountaineering 1-piece.

I'm sorry but I'm not one of their stuff, just a simple skier & viewer of those "nuit de la glisse". Did you try contact them personnally to know more about this "affair"? (I'm pretty sure you did, but who knows...)

Anyway, thanks for the comments guys, i'm very glad you enjoyed the video

    Talking sickter

for all the effects, I saw a couple of short ended transitions where the skier vanishes before the fade is complete. The hair near the end could be cloned out. Othewrwise that was tight.

The backslapping was a bit much. Tell the talent if they don't stomp it then they wont get paid!

For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

Thanks. I ripped videos from DVDs of the Nuit de la glisse" session 2003 so it wasn't my own footage but a quick search on the website indicate the camera used was a 35 mm one.
Hope that help, I dunno really more about this point

Bump 'cuz I watched it for the first time and it's sick-o. (even though it's a blatant rip-off)
