So if compensation is always to make up for what you're lacking, what does it mean if everyone's on fat skis? What does it mean if I like narrower skis? Asking the important questions here. The length of a ski seems less important than its width.

This intrigues me most. Do we know more about the type of release? Is it like a traditional tech toe or is it similar to the tecton/vipec?

Do we know if there is any toe elasticity?

Do we know anything about the ramp delta?

    Do we have photos?

    Please and thank you [emoji1317]

New hoji line. I wonder if the renegade is changing? I think hoji has been prototyping a new one.

Those Hojis in the middle look really sweet. I’ll be getting some next year. I’m skiing my 184cm Ravens a ton.

Heard they were just adding a new Renegade length to the current 184cm and 191cm.

Haven't seen this posted anywhere yet, so sorry if my search came up empty and this has been covered. Went to an industry demo event, and was keen to get on some Bent 110s. Mounted with the new Strive bindings on demo plates. I ski a current Dalbello Lupo Factory, and was told this boot is not compatible with the Strive. I have the Gripwalk vibram soles on there, but the bulletin states that all Lupo boots are not approved to work with the Strive. Kinda surprising.

Very weird, but honestly, I can't see a reason why anyone (who skis fast on rough terrain) would get this binding. I happily tolerate the SHIFT, but just barely. It's a 12 Din plastic toy binding. It does the job, but there are 4 other alpine bindings that do it better.

After processing the reason behind the Strive ( Gripwalk only, simple, lower cost ) I completely get it, but this makes me want to hoard STH2's all the more.

I’d consider it if it shared holes with the Shift.

And I caught so much grief when I brought this up a few weeks back.

Just wait, the Strive will probably cost more than an STH2 13!

Would be interested to know if the revised Alpinists have increased elastic travel in the heel over the current 5mm. With the kiss gap and 5mm travel, theres not really any difference than from 5mm of gap and zero elastic travel.

Surprised no one's talked about the BCA Float E2 airbag pack - their Alpride supercapacitor design.

My two favorite parts of TGR are the gear whoring and shit talking. Sometimes they intersect and make beautiful music.

    Carry on everybody. Carry on.
    focus.

I'd love to see some better pics and weights on these packs. the BCA site for these ( https://www.bcafloate2.com/ ) doesn't show the most clear pics, and historically BCA packs have been on the heavier side. Millet and Deuter (which aren't very available in the US) also have E2 packs. The Deuter catalog is on ISUU and their pack looks pretty nice.

Armada Locator info is up: https://www.armadaskis.com/en-us/loc...skis.com/en-ca

specs and weights look interesting. 104 is even lighter than my current BD Helio 105?!? Not sure now if I should replace it with a BD Helio 104 or Locator 104

Second half of this article has a bunch of 2023 smith goggles and helmets, including a new replacement for the Quantum helmet:

At five o'clock in the morning, the around 20 employees sent from Austria received a call from the Foreign Ministry to leave Ukraine immediately. The western Ukrainian city of Mukachevo is half an hour's drive from the Hungarian border. In the morning, the Fischer people and all the Austrians from suppliers left the city and the country by car. "All Austrians are out," reported Fischer Managing Director Franz Föttinger early in the morning.

On a weekly basis, an evaluation is now being carried out as to whether and how quickly Austrian managers and technicians can return to the country. The situation in the city is currently calm. All employees came to work in the morning. 500 local employees are currently employed in the ski factory. This has been in operation again since the beginning of the year. In October 2020, a fire completely destroyed the factory. A new hall with completely new equipment was built. Full operation has not yet been reached - this was previously planned for the beginning of next year. For the time being, further expansion and equipment work has been stopped - the employees of delivery companies, some of whom come from Austria, have also left the country. The reconstruction is covered by the insurance. Between 70 and 80 million euros were invested in the new production. There is "no alternative" to the fact that production in the factory should continue in the long term, says Föttinger in an interview with OÖN.
thanks for sharing the Locator-link tomh79!
