I honestly wonder if it is for sale because a divorce and whoever listed it just wants to fuck with the other party by listing for 3x market value and posting pictures of "the good times".

Pic 27, someone is trying to recreate a porno film set from the 1970s with the matching grey velour on the floor and walls in the bedroom. And a mirror headset for the bed.

I mean I’ve seen decorative old school snowshoes hanging on a wall but this dude has MSR snowshoes straight from REI just hung on the wall.

    Classy.

And the skis aren’t even Hexcell’s or MK4’s or something with panache.
The ski poles are no-strap, Whacker would be proud…but don’t belong with the snowshoes.
And the board should be a Burton Woodie, an early Sims, Kemper, Winterstick, or something.

Maybe that's just where he stores his gear? Except for the deer head, I think that's for show.

I dunno, I get the vibe he might use that deer head often.

That's what I was thinking. Doesn't want to clutter up his garage with all his gear.

It's the 50+ acres that butt up to some serious wild zones. GTNP due east and YNP and USFS/wilderness areas for many miles due NE.
A horse packing type would be in heaven there...
And that area has become a new secret haven for wealthy folks.

I did the census enumeration for that area in 2010. You'd be surprised how far people live back in those boondocks. And some nice Mcmansions already in there.

With some pink and blue neon, it would make a killer set for a 1980's Miami Vice episode.

Ha I stumbled onto that place in Sandy on Zillow today. Was going to show to my wife as first few exterior pictures looked ok, but from interior pool table on just goes downhill in a hurry!

As to Alta North and $$$, don’t forget Paul Allen’s ‘ranch’ up there, he has owned it since the mid nineties. It’s such an amazing piece of property. He has hosted a Nordic race on the property every year for a few decades now.

    He?
Anyway, he passed a few years ago. Is there still a Nordic race held there?

That's what makes it a spooky race. They say you can see a ghostly hourglass cast upon WY mountains if you press ctrl-alt-delete at the right moment on cold, dark day late in December.

Yeah, couple of things I got wrong..,it was the ‘ranch’ that hosted it, and not Allen, really.
I think the only reason it hasn’t happened in the last two years is Covid. Not sure who owns it now, HMS probably would.
