    Indoor-outdoor thermometer

Suggestions for a indoor-outdoor thermometer. I will place the outdoor sensor on a protected area on my deck. I am concerned about battery life for the outdoor wireless sensor (w/Li batteries). Obviously battery life is an issue with cold temperatures, but it would be great if they batteries last more than a few weeks. 🤔

On-line reviews are less than helpful.

I have been pretty content with a cheap-o ($20 or $30?) from my local hardware store. Super simple with just temperatures for inside and out. Two AA batts in the base unit and two AAA in the outside unit. I use regular duracells or whatever, and they last acceptably long in my view, maybe 6 months or so? I have had a few similar units over the last 12 or 15 years, lasting several years each. Seems like most of the more fancy options try to give you lots more info, most of which I don't want, and they have big bright screens, which I don't want.

Battery life on the outside sensor isn't an issue. Can't even remember the last time I changed them, just AA's.
