Those Komperdell's weigh 3x as much as the ATK race poles which are 65g each, but if the skimo king doesn't use em outside of races I should heed his advice and save my money

Yes, so many other cf & ti products deserving of your $!

Also, that Crazy Idea listing of 65g is per meter of shaft, excluding grips/straps and baskets.
(It's a common xc race pole measurement, so not just their own marketing hype.)

Here's what is probably the lightest fully equipped xc race pole:
    https://www.swixsport.com/us/poles/c...rbon-composite
    ... 272g per 155cm pair, so ~9.6 oz.
My skimo race poles (modified xc race poles) in ~135cm weigh ~9.9oz if using Leki gloves that don't require straps (very slick system for racing, whether xc or skimo!), or ~11.5oz if using Leki quick-release straps that allow for any gloves.
My favorite three-part BD poles weigh ~18.8oz, but the functionality, reliability, versatility are worth the weight penalty.
(And this is coming from a guy whose full cf skimo race boots and full-on/feature-less skimo race bindings for *all* touring.)

I've also weighed the Hagan skimo race model at ~9.5oz in 135cm:
    https://www.haganskimountaineering.c...bon-race-poles
... but we've broken at least three of those at my races.
(Plus at least one high-end adjustable cf touring pole, but that was after the owner stomped on it rather aggressively -- even if inadvertently! -- at a transition.)
Mo' skimo here: NE Rando Race Series

yes, I 100% agree with you on that. But, Paul does some big tours, and he has a long history of skiing lightweight boots and bindings (but not skis, afaik).
That combined with the near identical size and Maritime snow, made me think his info would be worthwhile.

    @Tang

I bought an Agent 1.0 and 2.0 last season. Both were well over claimed weight.
So, just something to be aware of, if you care about weight (probably why you are here)

    Thanks for the info!

Interesting, thank you. They're not out yet so I'd need to get a confirm on weight. Skimo is usually pretty good at that, and they will carry them. Thx

The fat La Machines weigh either at or even less than advertised (see Blister's review)

I “voted” on heritage ski labs for them to make this ski in their carbon build.

Anyone looking sell skis in 78-85 width and 170ish length from their quiver? Interested in something on the narrower side for schussing around early season and later spring.

I bought some last year. Been a good ski for me, except the weight.
claimed weight is 1450g in 178cm, which is on the heavier side, but the price was right.
But, my pair actually averages 1530 grams / ski! They are very nearly the same weight (70g less) than my Wayback 106, 186cm, ie a ski that is 20mm wider and 9cm longer.

Price is right but those are heavier than my daily drivers (Hyper V6).

Picked up a pair of La Sportiva Skorpius’ from SteepandCheap for $319 with their 20% off code. Shipping was like $10 extra.

Looks like 24.0’s and 27.5’s are all that’s left but I’m stoked as this is the only Light(ish) boot I’ve found that fits me.

That is a wildly good deal. I got a backup pair a few months ago for a lot more.

I've got a pair that's a couple years old from when he was only doing custom one-offs, these are lightweight Black Crow Solis clones. They are great skis, but they were originally made for someone 45lbs heavier than I am so I am thinking about passing them on to someone who is a better match for their stiff flex.

@Benneke What's the length/width on those? I've been drooling over WOVNs for a while and want to replace my current skinny skis in the quiver this season
