An oil Aga would heat the whole place in winter, and he'd use the outdoor kitchen in summer. Harry could lease a refrigerated connex or trailer, scour restaurant bankruptcy auctions, or build his own walk-in out of recycled AC return duct and commodity parts if he felt he needed.

Sorry for the drift, but I seem to be in the minority here (and in life) re: Ayn Rand.

I read Atlas Shrugged and the Fountainhead in HS. For fun, as I was an avid reader. Probably read each at least twice to be honest.

Never assigned or discussed in school, honestly can't remember how I even heard of them.

A lot of my non school-required reading at that time (Hesse, etc) came from my parents shelves.. but not Rand. Somehow I stumbled upon them.

I thoroughly enjoyed both. My wife gives me shit to this day for liking them.

What can I say?? As a 16 yo they spoke to me..

Haven't revisited any of her work since my teens, but at the time I was thoroughly engaged.

There was some comedian I caught about 30 seconds of once that i thought was hysterical something like "problem today is you young people, yer drugs are way to violent. I mean, in the 70s, we'd smoke some weed.

Congratulations Harry. I have many fond memories of that area as Andrew's dad had a Chippewa friend up in Hayward and they'd go walleye fishing together. His last name was Hill, but his ancestral name in Ojibway was "mountain." He said the white man shortened it.

I spent a lot of time with his wife. She was a Mohawk from Upstate NY. A real nice lady. She ended up in Wisconsin with her first husband, who was part Huron. I never knew him, but she used to joke that since she was Mohawk and he was Huron, her two boys (who were about Andrew's age) were Morons...haha.

Enjoy your new island and if you ever find your way west from there, stop by for a drink.
