    Most fun car I’ve had a chance to drive, and what I dream of if I had the money to buy a car purely as a toy.

    Seconded. My buddy let me drive his 7 around town for a day. He had two. Won a Md Ohio National with his other one.

    Friend of mine has one on order. It’s been a long wait so far but should be worth it.

    Apparently, Gordon Murray had a $50k, mid engine, 3 pedal, 1800 lb sports car planned for production but now its not going to happen.

    https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a4...not-happening/

    This thing would have been pure, raw, driving bliss. Probably a death trap at 1800 lbs but who the hell cares if it has the same roots at the Mclaren F1.

    I don't know why, but everytime I head up to the N. Ga mountains I see several of these JDM Mitsu minibuses; way more than you'd expect to see much less in a rural/wilderness area. Are these things the new, affordable alternatives to live the vanlife? AT thruhiker support vehicles?

    There's a bunch of the flatbed minicabs in Asheville too now that I think of it, but they seem to be quirky work vehicles for galleries, farmstands and brewers there.

    Would you look at that.

    Every time I see one of those early Acura Legends, especially the coupe, I think where did they go wrong? Not that Acura makes a bad car per se, in fact they make plenty capable cars and especially racecars, but with the sedans, especially when trying to carve out the "sport" segment of the luxury Japanese import market opposite Lexus and Infiniti (are they still a thing?), you go to confusing design language and an all FWD lineup it just doesn't hit the same as those early models.

    Sprinters = Guitars

    Mitsu minibuses = Banjos

    Seems correct for Dahlonega.

    Lots of JDM Kei trucks and vans in my hood. Mostly Delicas (house up the road has three) but quite a few Minicabs too - mostly the truck version, but there are two vans I see on a regular basis. Lots of Suzuki mini-trucks as well.

    kid just went off to uni & its sitting in the garage for his first year
    i'll get it out a couple times to keep fluids/seals from languishing while he's away
    i do miss sitting in the studio & listening to the sound as he accelerated uphill out the driveway off to school in the mornings...made me smile each time

    Nice! That's one helluva great car for a kid! Great choice. Lotsa fun, but nothing too crazy at all, but also pretty safe. Glad to hear your kid's in a vehicle with a proper manual. That torch will be carried for at least one last generation. Brings a smile to my face.

    Last generation indeed. My friend bought his 17 yo kid a used Toyota Tacoma 5 speed, and the kid refused to drive it. Kids these days...

    All they care about are iPhones. Went by the local trailer park bus stop this morning on the way to work. Even those "poor" kids were 100% engaged with their smartphones and not with each other.
