Good info GregL! I trust your opinion! Going to try Zipfits in the Hawx, and maybe a more aggro heel punch. If that doesn't work, I'll start down the Redster/Remedy road.

That all resonates. Punches have definitely made things worse at times. Makes sense. I might get the dremel out and sacrifice these Hawx to see what can be done..

Be careful. Grinding probably worked well for that rack of Redsters in the video, where the toe was about 5mm thick and the heel 6-7mm thick, but modern non-plug boots are way thinner . . .
Friend of mine ground through the heel of his brand new Cortex 140 Dual Boa, fortunately his own boot and not a customer's . . .
A little aquaseal and a used dryer sheet and that'll buff right out
Piece of Gorilla tape on the inside and he said they ski great.
