I know a goddamn hippy when I see one, but what is Crunchy?

I've heard the term used before but never stopped to think about it.

is it someone who only eats granola for one meal a day, and regards patchouli as something for special occasions? Is it someone who tells you they dont' own a TV when they do?

Is it that dude who plays the didjeridu by candlelight with incense all around?

That chick who'd be hot if it wasn't for the dreads and hairy pits?

enlighten me. I'm confused.

I just use it as a very general adjective to describe tendencies towards being a hippy, new age health nut, vegetarian, peacemonger, etc.

I don't think that there's a hard and fast rule.
