Not sure if this is the right place but...just curious if any mags have ordered Waiting Game (www.waitinggamethemovie.com). I received an order confirmation but my credit card hasn't been charged and I obviously haven't received a shipping confirmation. This isn't surprising or anything, but I was just curious if anyone had an idea when the DVDs would ship? I just anticipated a little trouble because it is being shipped to my school address, and they seemed a little picky when I was filling out the order form.
are u sure u ordered a DVD? the site calls it a HD video....i'm hesitant to order a 25$ vhs tape. JK and sasha are down with TGR.....anyone know if this is actually a dvd? i assume it is....it strange that its not clarified on the site...
Waiting Game: The first true High Definition ski movie…
Jackson Hole, WY – Acclaimed filmmakers from all walks of action sports have joined forces to create a truly different ski movie. High Definition producer Jason Winkler has teamed with award winning ski film producer, Jon “JK” Klaczkiewicz, acclaimed kayaking filmmakers Arden Oksanen and Trask McFarland and award winning editor Sasha Motivala to produce the first-ever true High Definition ski movie, Waiting Game.
This big mountain odyssey chronicles a winter of traveling, and skiing some of the largest mountains on the continent. “Our goal with this project was to deviate from the typical ski film formula and make a movie that provides insight into the real life of skiers everywhere,” said Winkler of Wink Inc., Jackson, WY. “This film goes deeper into the lives, thoughts and lifestyle of skiers…and it really dives into the questions of why we do what we do.” Waiting Game was shot on location in Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee, WY; The Canyons, Alta, Snowbird and Park City, UT; Squaw Valley, CA and Haines, Cordova and Valdez, AK.
Waiting Game follows the creation of the ground-breaking all High Definition action sports series, NOMADS on RushHD. RushHD (www.rushhd.com) is the only all High Definition action and adventure sports network and is carried on the Dish Network.
“We shot hundreds of hours of footage for our series on RushHD, and we had so much material to use. With everything shot in HD, it’s that much clearer and more vivid—even if you’re watching a Standard Definition TV set,” said Sasha Motivala, editor and shooter. “Our goal was to allow the viewer to experience the entire range of the sport and we think we created a soulful film that will stoke anyone who digs the mountains.”
Waiting Game was shot in true High Definition using Sony F750 and F900 cameras, with small stylistic accents of film and a bit of Sony HDV covering lifestyle. “We worked hard to deliver all of the action in real 1080i high definition. The guys dragged the big cameras up and down peaks all over North America to bring home these images” said Klaczkiewicz. “This is the real thing.”

I suppose I just assumed it was a DVD I'm not even sure how a VHS would be possible considering the supposed quality of the film. Regardless, the actual content of it seemed good enough that I would be satisfied with either format. I'm not at all surprised it hasn't shipped yet, and considering I'm in Georgia, winter will never come, not until I go home on break. Still, it would be nice if the site was a little more in-depth (i.e. estimated shipping date, dvd vs. vhs, runtime, etc. etc.) I guess I'll be the guinea pig and you can all find out about it when I receive my copy, if I do
