    Bellingham?

I'm considering moving from CO to Washington - I love it here, but I'd like to be closer to the Shore and Whistler. I love biking of any type, but skinnies, drops and steeps are my favorites. How's Bellingham? I've driven through, but never stopped to check it out. Is there good riding close to town? Basically, I guess I'm trying to find out what the scene is like - good people + good trails = I move.

Bham itself has Galbraith which has lots of cross country trails with a lil bit of freeride thrown in. It has about 3 or 4 trails with stunts but nothing insane. That mountain is right in town. There are also some dirt jumps right in town. The Woodlot which is in BC is about an hour away I believe and has awesome NS style stuff. The Shore is an hour and a half away, Whistler is 2.5 hours away, and Kamloops is 3-4 hours away. Honestly, the people in CO seem to be friendlier, but I didn't have a problem with people in Bham. Just be ready for a huge change in weather and make sure you get some super tacky tires.

BTW, I just moved back to CO from Bham, but I'll probably be in BC next summer again to bike.

Hahahaha, told you that you would

The riding scene is B'ham is super chill. galbraith has a really fun network of trails basically right in town. I't's definately cross country, but the rad stuff is so close across the border the xc is a nice change. Plus bellingham is a nice college town, with a lot of attractive girls and cheap beer.

Thanks guys - if I had a trust fund I would just move to Pemberton, BC and bike and ski all the time, but since I don't, Bellingham is looking pretty good. I'm definitely here in CO for this season, and then I think I'll be hitting the road to WA.
